Dark, brooding, and sinfully entertaining.. both of these short OVAs will please you.

vivafruit vivafruit says...

Both of these OVA's episodes are comprised of self-contained character studies that repeatedly show a general corruption of the human soul. Both have fairly unimpressive animation, but make up for this with clever writing and the natural appeal of the macabre.

freakzilla freakzilla says...

Both Pet Shop and Miyu are dark gloomy OVAs in which the themes are somewhat comparable. If you liked one you should sniff up the atmosphere in the other one as well.

cerberus38 cerberus38 says...

Both of these animes have an episodic nature with similar horror/supernatural settings and a moody atmosphere. They also focus on the consequences of making bad decisions. If you like that sort of thing then I would recommend checking out either of these shows.

Miyu and Blood+ definitely keep you on the edge. They have excellent fighting scenes and revolve around a young woman who is trying to fight for the good side, and has someone she relies on. They have a good style and are not too old-fashioned; you'll also love the character development in both of them. If you enjoy action, adventure and a little bit of romance you definitely need to watch these.

Miyu and Saya are both fighting they're own kind to protect or keep the world in order. They differ on fighting methods, Saya uses swordsmenship/her blood and Miyu uses her fire and her servent/protector Larva. These animes are both action packed and deal with vampires. Anyone and everyone who loves vamps has to watch it!

Those two series aren't really that similar, but it got the same feeling to it. Just like VHM this series deals with elimination of demons. WHR is alot more mystic and the character progressing is awsome. When Miyu OVA is alot more slow and not as exciting. But WHR and Miyo OVA got the same dark feeling to them and I would absolutely tell you to watch WHR if you liked Princess Miyu OVA

Not every vampire is out to get your blood; Miyu and Arcueid have both resisted their primal urges and hunt down those who can't. Since both have similar powers and focus on a story instead of the action, these two feel very alike.

Here you have two atypical OVAs about vampires: one is a coming-of-age story distorted into something wonderful, and the other is about a girl who craves a life denied her just because she has to feed on the blood of the living. They're both good if you like a little human touch to your horror.

Trinity Blood

There are many differences in both animes, I could go on all day naming them. But the main factor here my friends is that both these animes have fighting vampires, the pain of fitting in in a human world while hiding what they truely are, and did I mention alot of blood? Trinity blood is amazing in depth and story line you'll be on a roller-coaster until the very end!

These two supernatural OVAs are short, but what they lack in length they make up for in story. 3x3 Eyes seems to go along at a faster pace, but both of these shows are similar in themes and their way of combining the everyday with the supernatural. Fans of one would find the other just as appealing.

Miyu and Mermaid Forest both have a similar foreboding feeling to them as you watch. You are not quite sure what will happen next but you know it will be creepy and that feeling keeps you watching until the end. If you enjoyed that in one of these shows, you will also enjoy the other.
