While these two anime have very different plots (as well as Natsume Yuujinchou being a supernateral fantasy and Usagi Drop being more realistic), both shows have similar feel.  They are both mostly light-hearted (with a little bit a drama here and there) and leave you with a pleasant feeling after watching them.  They are also very cute and touching series.

I agree that both are light-hearted and have a similar feel so I definitely think you'll enjoy one if you liked the other.

Both series involve a relative taking in a child with whom they grow very attached. While it's not the main theme of Natsume, their similar feel means that if you enjoyed one, you'll probably like the other.

Both are nice emotinal animes in which the main characters are faced with a new situation.

Usagi starts off a big darker but Kobayashi ends a bit darker so they even out

A normal worker has their life taken over by a young child/dragon when they move in. Both stories are sweet, with some great relationships.

School Babysitters

When Ryuichi and his 2-year-old brother Kotaro's parents die in a plane crash, the brothers are adopted by a woman who lost her son in the same incident: the wealthy chairwoman of Morinomiya Academy. She's empathetic to the brothers' plight, but her kindness has a cost: she's opened an on-site daycare for the staff's children, but doesn't have enough people...

Both animes feature children coming to terms with the death of a parent. They also have the same sweet family feeling of being looked after by a guardian. Both are family friendly.

They are both adorable, bittersweet at some moments, and give you this warm feeling after you've finished. I highly recommend both.
