My son's and are are Big Godzilla fans and I have the original Japanese Live action Ultra man, so I was hyped.  Boring, slow and dull are the 3 adjectives I'd use to describe the show.  They mention Kaiju monsters but have none in it.  Ultraman never grows.  There's not even a good love story.  All the characters are boring.  The animation was weird and distracting.  Evaluating it based on all the anime I have seen its a two, based on the fact I'm a fan of Kaiju and Ultraman its a zero.

As of this review, I have seen the first 5 episodes.  I went into this anime knowing nothing of the original series, so this is a fresh take on whatever this was. Unfortunatrely, I cannot continue this show. It's just too boring and convoluted. I like many aspects of the story and I do feel intrigued, but the characters make choices that don't fit their supposed characters. The BBEG (big bad evil guy) could have kept fighting and killed the kid, but chose to retreat? That's just boring writing. They should have had that scene go differently, imo.  The character flow of the show is weird, too. The main character's friends act with fear and it's never explained. I have never seen friends act that way. It's just not realistic, nor interesting.  The last straw for me was when the lizzard dude was choking out the kid and no one did anything to stop it. The kid didn't fight back, he just struggled and fell to the ground. He didn't react afterwards, either. He bowed to the guy who didn't lift a finger to save him and then went on with his day ignoring what just happened.  Kudos to everyone who are able to overlook the crap of this show and focus on their nostalgia. In my opinion, this show isn't good.  PS. I actually did enjoy the animation style. It reminded me of Ajin, which is a favorite of mine. I wish there was more good anime with the 3D style.

Well it actually is the first 3d anime i've seen completely!It was really good,nice story and good character development.The fights were cool and i am waiting for sure for a second season!I recommend it!
