Unlike most of the other shows in this genre, these are more than just stories, or a loop of pictures- They are works of art.

Furthermore, their protagonists do not suffer from "whishy washy" disorder; Up until they make their choice, it's still a variable, but after, it is permanently set.

Lastly, show involves a scenario in which one female has know the protagonist for a long time, while the other has just met him, and both arevying for his affections.

Despite some dissimilarities in art syle, if you liked either one, you're bound to enjoy the other.

Both shows are a pure beauty to watch.

While they are very different by their premises, they both have heavily "character-oriented" stories which deals with the difficulties of building up a relationship.

Also, it might be worthy to point out that you won't find your regular spineless/oblivious/obnoxious/worthless and forever indecisive male lead in neither of them (which is very rare for anime adaptations of games like these two!).

Fans of Romance-Dramas, don't miss on any of them!

The protagonist guys go on fixing the girls' problems, throught it, they get confussed, happy and etc; and they finish up with just one girl. I believe you will like Ef as I did! also, ef and true tears have the same "quality" no quality drop-down, I mean.

Ef ~ A Tale of Memories and True Tears deal with different perspectives of relationships and different decisions the characters choose to make to influence their future. There is a subtle love triangle in each of the series emphasizing just how important the relationships of the characters are.

Ef and True Tears are a perfect match to the point that they could almost be mistaken for the same franchise. Both are Highschool romance anime that avoid many of clichés of the genre to focus on love triangles, keeping the emotional development of the characters as their primary goal. In visual terms they present very solid animation values with gorgeous background art that shines mostly in the sky scenes. Fanservice free, these are titles that handle their potentially jaded subject matter with maturity and in a serious, thoughtful and highly emotional way. Fans of one are encouraged to check out the other.

This is the story that all of us have seen many times - high school, boys and girls falling for each other, their dramas and problems. But those two are both one of their kind - unique plot, well-developed characters, incredible graphic, music and animation are their undeniable atuts, so don't hestitate too long.

These two series are the best in the romance genre that I have ever seen. They are both very beautiful~

Both of these series have wonderful characters, the character development is great, and everything about it just keeps you wanting to watch more and more until you reach the end.

And also, if you're looking for an ending that's unpredictable~ These shows have it. What actually happened in the end, was something I definitely wasn't expecting (not in a bad way, of course ^^).

If you loved one, the other is a definite watch!

Ef and True Tears are about dreams, wishes, love, hardship and friendship. The characters of both animes grow as the story gets sadder and there are more difficult things that interfere with the natural flow of things. However , they learn to give up, to forgive and most important-to move on. If you liked one, you must see the other!

Both of these series have wonderful characters, the character development is great, and everything about it just keeps you wanting to watch more and more until you reach the end.

And also, if you're looking for an ending that's unpredictable~ These shows have it. What actually happened in the end, was something I definitely wasn't expecting (not in a bad way, of course ^^).

Strong willed male protagonists and a great cast headstrong girls with a goal is what make these two shows similar. The love triangles in these shows have a much deeper impact than the usual two-girls-for-one-boy crap you would find being stereotyped.

Definitely check the other out if you have seen one.

Whilst on the surface they might not look alike these two series do share some common traits.

Both are quite serious, TT might not seem it in comparison to EF but the events in each are quite likely to happen to people in real life and quite sad. Both series share the struggles of peoples problems and how it effects us as people.

If you enjoy some romance and above all some (sad) drama, you should love these two series.

Kimi kiss is exactly the show that will prompt in your head as soon as you start to watch True Tears. Not that it steals ideas or influence, but the overall feeling and warmness that you feel are quite similar.

Unlike many other modern romance anime except Kimi Kiss the story of True Tears is conducted in a very nice way that will grab your attention and make you dream of what you could have done on those high school years.

Both Kimikiss and True Tears thematically center around being honest with your feelings and discovering who you truly love. With interesting characters, emotionally engaging plots, and plenty of twists along the way, both are excellent romance series. Kimikiss has more of a "slice of life" approach, which TT is more dramatic.

Also, True Tears and Kimikiss uniquely feature both male and female protagonists, so both guys and girls will be able identify with these series.

The feelings of the main characters are the theme of True Tears and Kimikiss Pure Rouge. The emotional struggle of the high school ambiance is seen throughout each in a highly dramatic plot. There is a struggle with the main characters to determine to themselves what they are really looking for and what with their lives. The characters are also so well developed in each that they are easy to identify with.

KimiKiss and True Tears are both excellent romantic dramas.  Although they have distinct plots, they are similar in basic execution.  Both stick to the drama, avoid fanservice, and stay relevant, all of which combine to generate unusually good overall pacing.  Also, the drama in both is generated by love triangles, as opposed to harems.  Furthermore, both shows share in their avoidance of using idiocy and/or incredible foolishness as driving forces in their stories; the leads in both shows consistently act in understandable ways, greatly contributing to the plausibility factor.  They do have their differences, of course.  KimiKiss follows a much larger cast over a longer span of episodes, achieving a broader scope than True Tears while still properly developing the leads.  True Tears, on the other hand, chooses to focus intently on merely three characters and develops them to an impressive degree.  In the end, though, what matters is that both KimiKiss and True Tears are tasteful romantic dramas with understandable characters and relationships. 

Also, it might be of some value to mention that both shows involve childhood friends of opposite sexes living in one house (that of the primary male lead).  Each show handles this aspect in a very different manner, however.

Similar feelings when you are watching them.

When I watched True Tears, I felt that  every girl was absolutely splendid, and I felt a quite sad because, of course, only one of them would be able to get the boy who she loved. With Kimikiss I have felt exactly the same.

In both animes,you feel a quite sad about one of the girls because at the end you was in love with both of them!; but at the same time, you feel a injection of courage because that girl continues her life with cheerfulness. They are a real teaching about how to behave when you suffer because of love.

And on the other hand, you feel also very happy because of the girl whose love won, she is worth a fortune as well!

At first, Kimikiss seems very different from True Tears, but when you move forward the anime, you can see the similarities.

Both tell the storys of love between highschool students, and portray how difficult it actually is, to be loved and love, more than one person at the same time.

Kimikiss is a more lighthearted and comedic series, that steadily builds up the touching scenes; whereas True Tears takes a much more deep and dramatic approach of illustrating the love polygons that exist between the characters.

I (almost) cried multiple times in both series, so i think that if you enjoy romance-dramas then you will sure love both of these wonderfully moving stories.

My personal preference is Kimikiss because i found it more "enjoyable", but i feel that True Tears is a "better" series because of its deeper portrayal of emotions, if u can compare them like that.

tl;dr

- YOU SHOULD WATCH THESE!! THEY ARE BOTH AWESOME ROMANCE SERIES!!! XD

Kimikiss Pure Rouge and True Tears share many factors which drove me to watch it in the first place. In both titles, the intensity of the drama is portrayed well by a mix of offered experiences. The experience of falling in love, heartbreak, love triangles, and several other feelings make both titles true to the Drama and Romance genre. Both shows have the ability to bring you to tears and dish out the tissue. I highly recommend Drama/Romance fans to watch these RAW and romantic shows.

whole show u see couple what u like so much and at the end is happening something what u will absolutly dont like ,nice ,beautiful and innocent girlz are getting crushed by their boyfriends. i dont have to say anymore that my final opinions were created by the last episodes of both animes. someone maybe liked their end but in my way ,NOT!

Both shows tackle coming of age very well. Though settings and characters may differ, watchers will embark on journeys of love and friendship in both of these shows, both being very similar.

In both anime we encounter high school students and their relationships. Main characters are much alike, they try to find and rescue the one they love despite all misfortunes. With some mysteries involved, these two series are very similar.

After watching True Tears... all in all, I thought it was a very slow-paced anime that spent a lot of time trying to develop their deep characters and showing the audience how this was not your regular harem.

This is why it reminded me a lot of Clannad.  They both have really strong protaganists (who are not just wishy-washy characters that go with the flow), they both have a past and a future.  Which brings me to why their stories flow so well.  In the end, when the audience finds out who the guy likes... it doesn`t come as a surprise because you see their relationship grow. 

I found True Tears to be a little more subtle and calming compared to Clannad that had more girls and plot, but none the less, they`re both really strong titles.

Both series are very interesting and deep  dramas. If you like drama, romance and slice of life, you'll like both of them.

I prefer True Tears, but if you enjoyed Clannad, I recommend you True Tears, and viceversa.

Clannad have some funny moments and other are really emotional and deep. True Tears is a drama that makes you think but without moments so emotional as True Tears and without comedy.

Both of them are harem but harem is very well-done, they are absolutely different from the typical harem.

And both of them have female characters that you'll definitely fall in love with!

Both anime have a sad but romantic feeling when watching high school students slowly developing relationships with others. The plot of both stories begins with happiness and a mundane life, but as the plot develops both anime gets sadder and sadder, especially in Clannad. I highly recommend Clannad to anyone who enjoyed watching true tears because of the similar plot elements.

Both True Tears and Myself; Yourself are romantic dramas (at their core) that prominently feature a childhood friend who is now cold to the male lead as a result of circumstances.  However, Myself; Yourself does not generate its drama with a love triangle, unlike True Tears.  Its drama is less relationship-driven and more plot-driven.  Also, Myself; Yourself has elements of a romantic comedy and sports a fair amount of fanservice towards the beginning of the show.

Like most love polygons, Myself; Yourself shows and reflects the sadder side the Romance Genre.  The main characters and sub characters interactions are quite similar to ToraDora! as well as True Tears.  Especially if your looking for that school life drama.

Jealous girlfriend, troubled boyfriend, hidden feelings, broken hearts, desperate love, you name it. True Tears has it, and so does Kimi ga Nozomu Eien. They dwell very deep into personal relationships, and there is plenty of drama, angst, and comedy relief to go around.

Tensions are high and jealous girlfriends tempers fly in True Tears and Kimi ga Nozomu Eien. The troubled boyfriend not knowing what decision to make and all of the characters have to face their hidden feelings. These two drama involve real life situations and deal with broken hearts.

KGNE and True Tears are both straight-up love triangle series.  Little to no comedy or ecchi, just a big heap of romantic drama. They're both pretty down-to-earth, though True Tears perhaps slightly less so. (Nue is a bit touched in the head) Nonetheless, if you enjoyed one of these, there's no real reaosn not to try the other.

The Emotions of these two anime run along the same lines, friends loving those just out of reach, and loved ones too close to let go. There's a bundle of emotions, sad and happy, that eventually lead full circle with a satisfying ending.

Both series are based around one guy, and three girls. They focus on the guy's relationships with each of these girls and his feelings about each one.

A lot of the scenes in each one take place in school.

True Tears and Tokimeki Memorial ~Only Love~ focus on a series revolving around one guy with three girls vying for his attention.  The series deal with how the main protagonist handles each separate relationship.

In H2O and True Tears there are the same types of school and characters experiences. However, H20 has a more fantasy-based aspect to it while True Tears is more on the realistic side of life in a situation that could actually happen.

Love, haterd, misunderstandings, tough past, high school life - this is what those two have in common. Though please note that while TT is typical slice of life story, H2O has some fanstaly plots involved.

Both Kanon (2006) and True Tears tell a sotry of a boy surrounded by girls who have to decide who to choose as girlfriend. Deep in their heart both main characters know who they want to be with but obstacles which they have block them from choosing that one from the begining.

Kanon and True Tears are both animes that have different side stories revolving one main character, a boy. This boy has to deal with many girls' dramas and find ways to make them feel better, through his harsh choices. They are both intense dramas, though you may find more moments to cry in Kanon. Moreover, the beautiful flow of events will introduce you to the amazing stories behind Kanon and True Tears.

Both I"s Pure and True Tears are "love triangle" anime series set in a high school environment. In both, a boy is infatuated with a girl he has loved for some time but lacks the confidence to confess. While the story progresses, another girl enters the picture, complicating things as the boy starts to grow feelings for her as well. Most of the story involves the tension created by the boy's indecisiveness about which girl he will choose, even though both love him. If you like the romantic aspects of either of these series you're sure to like the other.

These are such lovely romantic series. I"s Pure and True Tears leave the viewer clicking the "next episode" button immediately after the episode ends. Both feature an indecisive male lead trying to let the girl he likes know his feelings while at the same time trying not to hurt the other girl in the triangle. If you liked the drama and romance in any of the two, the other should definitely be next to watch.

Being a child doesn't mean you can't feel anything. For instance, you can grow lifelong, deep emotional attachment toward this special person, that you will follow and try to catch for the rest of your time. And that is what happened to both TT and 5cm/s's main characters, so if you like this kind of stories, watch it!
