Takes place on an artificial island floating in Tokyo Bay, named "Kyokutou Houreigai Tokubetsu Chiku" (Far East Special District Outside of the Law), nicknamed "24th Ward." Following three childhood friends born and raised on the island: Ran, Koki, and Shuta. The three have different social standings, hobbies, and personalities, but they are always hanging out together. But their relationships will change dramatically after a certain incident. At a memorial ceremony one year after the incident, the three happen to meet again, and all of their phones start to ring at once. The phone call is from a friend they thought was dead, urging them to "choose the future." Each young man will believe in their own way of doing things to protect the future of the people of the 24th Ward.

They now have the chance to change the outcomes of the "trolley problems" their dead friend gives them.Did I enjoy it?I was really into it after the first episode. The visuals and sound gave an impact during the do-or-die moments. However, as I soon found out, when the show is not in the middle of action sequences, I found the interactions/dialogue to be shallow and meaningless. They go on and on about how they feel, not giving up, how they can change if they all work together, and super cheesy lines. It feels like this should be a kid's show until you witness a guy being shot. The "truth about the AI system" twist could be easily forseen as well and didn't have an impact. Other shows have had the exact same plot in that aspect. Strong start, weak finish. Watch for the fun of it. Skip when you sense the ranty bits coming on. Try it out if you enjoy "changing the future" shows. This one does it kind of poorly but still enjoyable.

I think this anime is one of the rare ones that deliver very strong thrills, although they're animated. The plot gets better and better with time and the animation is fantastic. I don't know why the rating is so low but it's totally worth seeing. It's also directed by JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. ( Naokatsu Tsuda )

This sucks, don't waste your time, trust me. The story is all over the place, there are all these characters and interactions that serve no purpose at all but to waste time. The animation is truly horrendous, feels like you are watching a badly animated flash game drawn by some amateur mangaka wannabe artist.
