Snow White with the Red Hair

Snow White with the Red Hair

Shirayuki is a spunky pharmacist with bright, apple-red hair unlike anything anyone has ever seen. Even the prince of the kingdom she lives in is entranced by her locks, and demands that she become his concubine. Not wanting to be viewed as an object prized purely for its novelty, Shirayuki flees civilization and heads towards the forest. Here, the girl meets...

I recommend this anime because it tells a love story of a girl with lesser status and someone from the royal family.

These two anime have several things in common....dashing royal? Check.  Strong female lead? Check. The female lead travels from a different land? Triple Check.  Both animes have a somewhat similar setup. If you like the formula then your in for a treat.

Both of these shows are beautiful, innocent, and fulfilling romances featuring a strong-willed, independent woman from a foreign country who tries her best to solve her own problems, and a member of the royal family (king or prince) who recognizes and supports her need to be herself.  Both women face citizism and opposition because of their lower status, and they both do everything in their power to ensure that the people around them accept them and their relationship.  These shows are both sweet and wonderful and if you liked one I'm sure you will like the other.

President of the Student Council at the almost-all-boys Seika High School, the hard-as-nails Misaki Ayuzawa works every day to make life easier on the small population of co-eds who have enrolled there. Though an unholy terror to all things male during school hours, in order to provide for her impoverished family, she secretly works after...

While this may seem like an unusual recommendation, I think that both of these shows have a similar atmosphere and leave you with a similar feeling.  While the circumstances are completely different, these are both fantastic romances featuring an independent, strong willed woman, and an extremely talented and proud man, who is actually quite vulnerable on the inside.  Their relationship and affection grows as they protect and support each other (rather than the guy always protecting the girl), with plenty of teasing and fighting in between intensly romantic moments.  If you liked one show for the well balanced, entertaining, and loving romance between the characters, then you will like the other.

The Familiar of Zero

The Familiar of Zero

In a world where magic is a reality, the young Louise is at the bottom of her class. Dubbed "Zero" by her classmates at Tristein Academy (due to her zero success rate for magic), Louise (along with all first year students) was charged with summoning a familiar; and instead of a cute magical creature, the familiar arrived in the form of... Saito...

Both Zero and SoreSekai have the action placed in a fantastic, based on monarchy world. They both have in center a couple that has to make it work through all that comes in the way. Zero is longer, the feelings grow slower, SoreSekai tends to be all about the feelings. They have interesting romance development. Possesiveness appears in both, but the shade is very different. SoreSekai is more serious, while Zero makes a good comedy out of that.

They are placed in a different world with social statuses. In both anime you will find the hostility towords eacother, that is slowly disapearing over time. They have a powerful romantic topic that is developing and teacheng the caracters how to except the world itself not just there feelings.
