Both "We Never Learn: BOKUBEN, Bokutachi wa Benkyō ga Dekinai" and "The Quintessential Quintuplets" are comedies that center around a studious, yet overworked high school boy charged with tutoring multiple female students with their studies. All the girls have strengths in a certain subject but are woefully lacking in others. Their respective tutors are charged with getting their classmates up to speed academically so that they can graduate and continue on with their lives and studies.

TheSupremeOne TheSupremeOne says...

These two animes are pretty similar. Futaro in The Quintessential Quintuplets tutors five girls. In this anime too the protagonist tutors girls. This two animes are based on Harem and Romantic Comedy.

Grizz Grizz says...

Same concept performed with different set up of girls. Both feature a lad tutoring the girls for his own benefit tand inadvertently building a harem out of his students!

AlexanderL12 AlexanderL12 says...

If you like harem, this anime will deal the same. All the girls are bad students in a specific subject and they are very kawaii.

YuiYui YuiYui says...

Both of these anime feature a group of girls that start off being in a study group with the main character but then eventually start to grow feelings for him. The premise in both is very similar just with a different set of girls for the MC to chose from, so I think if you enjoyed one of these series you will enjoy the other. Especially if you're looking for the light harem type of series to dive into.

YEROCKY YEROCKY says...

Because they're both a light, good mood harem comedy; featuring a male protagonist made to tutor a group of girls, struggling in certain subjects, that all start to crush on the male protagonist.

2 animes that are centered around studying and eventually building relationships that go beyond student and tutor. Each has their own quirks that seperate them, but at their core they have that similarity and I think viewers of each would like the other.

Jayage Jayage says...

Both are very very similar Harem/Romantic Comedy animes, both are about a guy who tutors a group of very likeable and charming girls.

TheCautionBandi TheCautionBandi says...

They have the same premise. Smart guy teaches cute girls how to do well in school and romantic highjinks ensue.

Let's be real here. One MC, many girls. Who will he pick? That is literally the whole premise of both anime. But what is different is, in RAGF, the MC already likes one of the girls, but can that change overtime? will the dandere take over the show and the MC, or will the fraud of a girl take him away? just find out and watch yourself. But in TQQ, will the tsundere (favorite) take him away, or the athletic squirrel of a girl? The girl who eats more than my family combined, but still being thinner than me, or the most preferred girl, the history geek who likes matcha soda? I will not even talk about the SNAKE who ruined it, because in all opinion, she shouldn't get a chance at dating the MC. But maybe she might still have a chance :). After all, it is anime, but who knows... Like I said, watch out to find out!

Both Stories have the same concept basically. A brainiac tutor assigned to school 5 HOT siblings (all the same gender, but both anime have a different gender from the other). In both cases the majority of the siblings are against being tutored, and the tutor is left trying to both sell themselves as worthy to be teaching, and to find interest in each sibling to slowly coax them into to being on board with the studies 1 by 1.

Now, with the similar structure to the story, it's likely if you enjoy one, you'd enjoy the other, but the difference in apeal, mainly that 1 has attractive female characters, and the other has attractive male characters, could cause you to only enjoy 1 of them, based on your perspective as a viewer.

Epimondas Epimondas says...

Royal Tutor and Quintuplets share some basic fundamentals. Both features characters who are or look the same age or younger as those he teaches. Both deal with a family of troublesome failing students.  Both mentors operate using unconventionally unique techniques for tutoring.  Both characters gradually get the protégés to understand p, respect, and eventually at least try to listen and learn from them.  Both leads go through tough challenges to gain their students’ trust and acceptance.  Both stories are comedy drama geared around life and education.

Superstars111 Superstars111 says...

Both shows follow a tutor and his unruly students through a series of comedic events and circumstances as they learn not only about school, but about life as well.

The Royal Tutor does not include a romance aspect, while The Quintessential Quintuplets does have a very well-done harem aspect to it. In both shows, all characters receive equal or near-equal amounts of development, with the exception of the tutor himself, as both shows tend to follow him and show things from his perspective.

Lenachan3ko Lenachan3ko says...

Both shows have a very intelligent protagonist who is tasked to tutor a group of rambunctious siblings. Even though The Royal Tutor has no romance unlike The Quintessential Quintuplets, its humor is very similar and there are very endearing moments in both shows. So if you liked one of these shows, you'd probably like the other as well.

Ultimate Otaku Teacher

Ultimate Otaku Teacher

Junichiro Kagami is on his sister’s last nerve. But now, it’s time for him to get a real job! His reason for being such a bum? He suffers from ‘YD’: a debilitating illness that means he can only do things he yearns to do. Tired of this lame excuse, his sister gets him a job doing something he’d never expect—teaching! Teaching is the last thing Kagami yearns to do, at least until he comes across the various problems his students face outside of the classroom. Between their quirky dreams, serious attitude problems, and surprising secrets, Junichiro is definitely in for some far-out lessons. What he teaches these kids will be beyond the books!

You can right away see quite a similar vibe in two stories about a smart character trying to teach/tutor others in unconventional non traditional ways.  In both cases, the lead teacher like character is challenged by his troublesome students and comes up unusual yet ingenious and successful ways of dealing with them.

Both have similar plots in regards of the mysterious romance, for who will the main character end up with just as it is in Nisekoi, as the opening scene of this anime starts off with his wedding with one of the quintuplets.

The relationship antics continue as Chitoge starts to realize that she is actually in love with Raku and Kosaki's younger sister Haru, who wants to protect her sister from the supposedly-depraved Raku, gets added to the mix.

Both anime are harem with similar protaganists and characters. Both are not dependent on ecchi content and are fairly low on fan service. Both have girls that (arguably) have an equal chance and all the girls are Freinds with each other. Basically very similar although nisekoi is much heavier on the romance

Both shows have a guy, who is interested in many girls. The stories are very different though, since in Kanojo mo Kanojo the guy gets a bunch of girlfriends but in 5-toubun he is only interested in finding "the one" from the girls. Nevertheless, the girl characters' personalities match.
