Miyuki's classmate Shizuku Kitayama is on her way to study abroad. For magicians, this is normally impossible, since allowing the genes of someone who can use magic outside their home country's borders is tantamount to giving up national secrets. But it's allowed to happen in one case-exchange programs. And that's how Angelina has arrived in Japan from the USNA to study at First High. But it seems she's a part of something much bigger than a simple cultural exchange!

For those who think this is some sort of side-story to the Original, this is infact the 2nd season. Don't be mislead by the title "Visitor Arc." It's simply referring to the next arc of the light novel. I'll update this review later once I finish the show, it's not gonna be detailed whatsoever. This was mainly just to serve the purpose of communicating the fact that this show is infact a "2nd season" and not a "side arc or side story".
I was super suprised to see another season of one of my favorite all time anime. This one has a different feel than the original and is a bit rushed in my opinion although if a continuation airs to add to it I might think otherwise. This season foccused less on the school and more on consiperacy and factional interaction. I think if this is the start of a new series its a great one. I do wish we had seen more about Shizuku's time in America, it may make a good OVA.
This will not be a very in-depth review as I don't wish to spoil anything, and leaving long reviews just isn't my thing. This season falls in the period just before everyone either graduates or goes up a level at school. What I will say is simple: If you enjoyed the first season, you'll definitely want to watch this one as well. It is just as action packed as the first season with interesting mini archs within it. It put in a greater effort on explaining how the magic works compared to the first season. It was well thought out, and I didn't catch any continuity errors (though I wasn't actively pursuing them). I just really loved this season and I'd highly recommend it. Please note that this show does have incestuous undertones, so if that bothers you, please watch something else. I watch anime for entertainment purposes, and I don't think it should be a place for moral policing which would only stifle the artistic rendition of the original (the manga/light novels).
