This is an excellent backstory for the main characters of this series.  It explains the relationship between the brother and sister so people can understand the deep connection between the two.  They do more character development in this movie, as well as have a good action scene towards the end of it.  You can watch this before or at any point while watching the rest of the series, it will only give you a better understanding of this anime.  I greatly appreciate that they made this movie which creates an even deeper storyline which already exists with the series.  Enjoy!
