The shows are essentially the same, just choose between a fox girl or a dragon girl. Both are lighthearted, comedic slice of life shows. Dragon Maid seems to have much more of an overarching plot while Helpful Fox focuses more on the heartwarming aspect
These two great anime come packaged with so many different feelings of comfort. They make you feel happy, and it brightens your day just watching them. Kobayashi is a little more on the comedy side, while senko is more relaxing.

Now if you look at both anime at face value or by reading the synopsis you may not notice the similarities right away but they both share a very similar situation: a male main character dealing with unconditional love being pushed unto them by female characters who have know them for a long time. Both the fox girl Senko and the mom Mamako are super nice and lovable characters that'll pull you in for the full 12 episodes
