Before starting I must say that my English is not perfect so if there is any spelling mistake, please excuse me. Also, is the first time that i do a review so is a little short that i want it but i think that reflect my opinion about this anime very well.

Well, the series had potential, but unfortunately everything fell apart when they decided to start moving forward in the story without any kind of explanation, that is, practically, everything that happens since chapter 4 or 5 more or less is an epic moment after another but without any explanation of why that happens. This leaves the characters very empty and you do not feel any empathy with them and with what happens to them with the passage of the chapters. This turns those epic moments into mere parts in which it is seen as a character wins a power up completely out of nowhere.
If I talk about secondary characters, things are even worse. The secondary in this series do not have any development. Characters like Park Mujin, the "referees" (that's how they call themselves, at least in the spanish subs) or the man with the hat who appears dancing in the last chapters (who has so little participation in the series that I don't even know his name) are not different from the Generic characters that appear among the public or the weak fighters who are defeated in 2 hits. I even have to say that the main characters, Jin Mori, Daewi and Mira, are not well done and their charyeok come out because yes and in 5 seconds they already dominate them as if they had had it all their lives.

For the animation part I have to say that in this case it is totally great, a great animation in the fights where each punch and kick has a great intensity and power, the battles have a good direction and the soundtrack accompanies (although I will talk about this more further on), also, no much CGI has been used which makes them much more remarkable and good for the eyes, without a doubt this is the strong point of the series.

In terms of sound I have to say that it is fine, the soundtrack, created by Arisa Okehazama, complies but it is nothing to write home about as the Fate Zero or Shingeki no Kyojin soundtracks are, however it is well used and there is a good variety of songs. As for the opening I like it even though I'm not a fan of electronic music and the ending is a meh. The voice acting is very good, as always Japan above the rest of the world in this section.

Rounding out a bit, GOH is an anime that is good in the technical section and the synopsis suggests that it can be a great series, unfortunately if you don't have a good story, it doesn't matter how good the animation or soundtrack is, the most important thing, the narrative, ruins and even overshadows all the good of the previous sections.
In my humble opinion, this series gets a 3.

I have Nothing against those people who have said that this was not that great or not up to their expectations. But i love how people act like this and throw things like "No character development" in the room. The Anime is just yet a little part of the Manwa. And this Tournament was just like a Tutorial. There is a lot left for future sessions.I enjoyed it.i have no objection and the reason I'm reviewing this is because alot of people are saying that this anime didn't meet their expectations. To all of them i want to say that this was just a little of the manwa . Don't believe me then just go to webtoon an watch it.So just  give it a try who ever thinking to watch it. Offcourse every one has different opinions and tastes but watch it🤗

i originall thought the pacing of this show was terrific. just jump into a tournament with no explanation and no character backstory. works fine for me, as long as these things are explained through the remaining episodes. however, they use one of my least favorite devices almost immediately, the flash back. flash backs to explain who everyone is, flashbacks to explain why they are fighting, flashbacks to scenes in episodes we've just watched. then a story is immediately injected, with little explanation as to who anyone is, or what their motivations are, beyond generic tropes. this show did not make me care about any of the characters, nor make me understand the stakes. the animation was pretty good as far as the action scenes go. this show could have benefitted greatly from being a longer run. even three more episodes to tell the story would have helped immensley.

Muy buen anime pero le falta personalidad.

Historia.

I really enjoyed God of High School. Anyone looking for martial arts based shounen with magic/divine power could definitely enjoy this. The pacing of the story was quite rapid when compared to the manga, forcing some of the plot elements to be glossed over. Each episode was about 3-5 volumes of the manga I believe. There was a definite rush to the series which kept me engaged and watching closely. The story in the beginning poses so many questions and some plot holes (that are mostly resolved as it progresses) but this made fully enjoying it somewhat difficult. The animation style's uniqueness was likely a reflection of the budget but it definitely worked overall. Some parts of the fight scenes were copouts in their animation but still adequately reflected the intensity of the fighting itself. The characters were very likable and had simple but quality interpersonal dynamics. The protagonists character design reflected the ways in which he was different than the other humans. One of my main complaints is that each organization's stance on unleashing God upon the world was different yet the villains purpose to do so was very unclear (only a superficial explanation was offered- we are bad guys who will unleash god and destroy the world) making a major plothole.
