There's no need to watch this. It does pretty much everything poorly, and offers nothing that the 2016 version doesn't, if anything at all.
It has a joke or two, that, in concept, are funny. 2016 proves this. But there are three things that hold it back, execution-wise, from being entertaining.
1) The artwork and animation have me wanting to wash my eyes out.
2) Everything moves too slowly.
3) There are only a few jokes, most of which are the least interesting, and which are stretched out to over 10 minutes.
I'll be perfectly honest: the only reason I'm reviewing this is to be the first one. I have basically zero interest in actually discussing this piece of garbage.

It is one of my favorite animes. It starts out by not having a direct plot, but as time goes on you can see a strong story of friendship. It has an excellent dry humor and is overall very fun. Saiki is one of my favorite characters of all time.
