Both series feature the MC going through a major lifestyle change. In The Demon Girl Next Door, Yuko suddenly becomes a demon and is struggling to adjust to her new lifestyle, while in Gabriel Dropout, Gabriel was an inspiring angel before she decended to Earth and became a NEET after playing a video game and getting obsessed with it. The angles, devils, demons, and magical girls in both series would rather help each other out and socialize, and have little to no desire of fighting.

Both extremely cute and similar themes!Though executed fairly differently they both build an interesting world where both demons and angels/light beings exist together.I would say Demon Girl Next Door has more of a plot and Gabriel Dropout is a pure moe slice of life show in that sense!Love and recommend either!!

CGDCT with supernatural protagonists and yuri undertones. Sophie and Momo have very similar laidback personalities, deadly cooking skills, and superhuman strength. Both similarly end up getting gradually attached to their respective counterparts (Akari/Shamiko) in the course of the show.

Calamia Calamia says...

Both are SoLs about nonhuman girls next door interacting with other (female) characters in their neighbourhood.

Gushing Over Magical Girls is what would come out if Demon Girl Next Door was passed through PornHub's video encoder.

Sabure Sabure says...

In both series, the main girl - while have a very cute and caring demeanor - is roped against their will to become a villainess demon girl. They both try their best in their newfound role, and show somewhat of a sadistic side underneath their cute, girl-next-door personality.

Hinamatsuri was always on my mind while watching this anime. The supernatural elements and the over the top humorous moments are the obvious reasons I think they are similar but I am sure you will find other similarities as well

Both shows have a world that is bright and cheerful, and comical aspects, and this despite the darker undercurrents their settings have. Also both shows feature magical girls, one of whom has what could be described as PTSD symptoms.

Both are slice-of-life comedies which derive humour from the main character being a demon who has to deal with normal life, money troubles, and befriending their enemies on the side of the Light.
