It is said that there are four types of people in the world; those that know and know that they know, those that know and don't know that they know, those don't know and know that they don't know and those that don't know and don't know that they don't know. It's clear right from the start of this series that the main character is, in the language of the show, a pervert with an insatiable fetish for women's undergarments. And if that truth is enough to turn your head in disinterest or disgust, this is probably an anime for you to skip. But while the viewer is fully aware of Aito's proclivities, there's something a bit different about him than can be found in many other stories with characters like him. He is oblivious to his tendencies and how they effect those around him. Stated differently, he doesn't know and doesn't seem to know that he doesn't know. For those not ready to dismiss this story by way of first impressions, there are some good laughs and endearing moments to enjoy. As Mangaka-san to Assistant-san to develops and Aito becomes surrounded by cute female characters, the viewer wonders why and how each tolerates his behavior. The series is composed of 12 episodes, 13 minutes each, and most of the episodes themselves are composed of 3 mini-stories. Knowing this, the viewer also wonders if it's possible to answer those questions in such a short form. One of the show's strengths is its pace. The comedic timing is aided by it's quick speed. Another strength is that though there isn't much time to tell the whole story given the format, somehow almost all of the character's backstories and motivations are revealed by the end of the series. And the best stories tend to feature characters that start at one place and transform over time. Almost all of the characters in this story do grow in one way or another which is nice to see. Mangaka-san to Assistant-san to is good for what it is; a light, over-the-top comedy about an oblivious male manga artist obsessed with panties and his team of female assistants who stand by him despite his flaws told in a rapid fashion that for those who don't object to the subject matter may take you by surprise. There is more to almost every character than one would presume by way of first impressions and for those who stick with it, the story has a pleasant charm. For those willing to give the show a try, set upon watching the first 6 episodes for a better impression of the series. If you (still) hate it by then, let it go. If you appreciate it it for what it is, you'll be satisfied by how the show wraps up.

  Warning this Review May Contain Spoilers- This review is for Mangaka-san to Assistant-san, this is about a guy who loves drawing manga, the only problem is that he is obsessed with drawing female pants, slightly disturbing but oh well. It is a short episode series about this artist and his (female) assistants. And we all know how that is going to turn out, a complete pervert in a room with a bunch of ‘cute’ women drawing slightly ecchi manga, what’s that all about. The story is pretty simple it is just this artist’s everyday life as a mangaka and how he gets through his life. In the end pretty basic but entertaining, but really really disturbing in some areas….wouldn‘t recommend it very much.   The animation was average, the opening; ending and main animation wasn’t anything outside of the ordinary, which again is probably what I would expect. The music was also average, not so amazing, but like any anime the opening was slightly better than the ending. The characters voices were alright, they clearly tried to make as many girls as cute as possible using their voices. They matched these voices with the designs quite well though.   So overall this anime was just under-average, the score I have given it I believe is reasonable for the type of anime it is and there really isn’t much to say about it. I say if you want a light Ecchi then here you are….disturbing. Anyway this ends another one of my short reviews, thank you for reading. ~AngelBeatsYui~

Tl;dr: Short episodes mean this series isn't so bad. Story: The main character is a perverted mangaka named Aito who is obsessed with panties. He is surrounded by people (specifically, women) that he works with and who overlook his perversions due to his blissful naiveté. There isn't a whole lot of plot, but if you were looking for a grand story in a half episode slice-of-life show about a perverted shut in then you probably don't care what I think. Most episodes revolve around Aito stumbling through awkward situations with his coworkers, with a few sprinklings of some light-hearted romance. Animation: The quality of the drawing is fair, considering that this is a low-budget series. Sound: The voice acting is probably the best point of the show, Aito's melodramatic speech is what makes most scenes. There's not really any significant sound track to speak of, but it's not really missed. Characters: The characters all fall into your standard tropes: Aito is the shut in pervert otaku, there's a tsundere (also doubling as a childhood friend), a normal person, a loli and a moe character. Character development is non-existent, but it's not that big of a deal. Summary: this show is pretty much what you'd expect. That said, I did find it fairly funny in places. If episodes were full-length it would definitely grate on the senses, but since they are only half-length it managed to stay fresh from week to week. It's not bad really, I didn't mind giving it 12 minutes a week. I even got a few chuckles out of it to boot. Conclusion: It's ok, you don't have much to lose by watching.
