If you have read/watched either Uragiri (manga or anime) or Silver Diamond give the other a try. Both feature a young innocent male protagonist that meets an older but strong silent male bishonen who has a strong desire to protect and emotionally support the protagonist as he is pulled into a world-scale conflict. The emotional bond the main protagonist has towards his "guardian" grows over the course of the story.

I recommend Silver Diamond and Uragiri both ways if you are looking for a bishonen action drama with a more gentle but deep soul bond between the two main characters and their allies.

While Ishuca then dies naturally, Blood is so touched by the man's kindness that he inadvertently revives him with his tears. Together, the two set off on a grand adventure and unintentionally try to breach the rift between humans and demons; for they are not as different as they may seem to be.

The Tale of the Ice-cold Demon (Koori no Mamono no Monogatari) has a similar human-demon relationship between the two main protagonists of the story. Uragiri has a more silent and sober tone to it than Tale of the Ice-cold Demon and it's abundant humor. Looking for a more comedic but tender relationship? Give reading Koori no Mamono no Monogatari a try.

Both stories feature a protagonist pair that need to protect each other as others things try to harm them. Uragiri is more fantastical in its story--in particular that the main young character was a woman in past lives--but wonderful if you like the gentle but strong relationships that form under the fires of staying alive. Also, the "conflict" both stories' protagonist pairs get involved in has been going on for hundreds of years. Supernatural elements involved.

Unlike Saiyaku wa Boku o Suki Sugiru, Uragiri's protagonist pair have a group of people who don't just care about them. They fight alongside them and give emotional support.

Uragiri was originally a manga. Yet, the anime does well in adapting all the information and drama of the manga into 24 episodes.
