Although Uraboku has a drop of shounen-ai, I find it similar to Vampire Knight because the main characters are in similar situations. Yuuki doesn't remember her past. After a while they both find they have certain powers. Plus their names are almost the same, Yuki/Yuuki (snow/courage)

I can see a resemblance between Luka and Kaname, they both have their dark past, and somehow betraying their clan.

Uragiri wa Boku no Namae o Shitteiru and Vampire Knight are almost the same in some ways. In Uragiri wa Boku no Namae o Shitteiru the character doesn't know what is happening around him and Yuuki in Vampire Knight doesn't know what is happening to her either (seeing blood everywhere) and their is someone who knows and understands what is happening but wouldn't tell them. Also in both animes they forgotten their memories of their past (in different ways)

I recommend people to watch it

There both have the same type of art, and both have a dark feeling to it in some way. And you could say there bot shoujo.

These animes are very similar due to their styles of art and the dark atmospheres that surround both of the series. I recommend this anime as the story line is mysterious and the characters share many of the same traits for example both main characters Yuki - Vampire Knight and Yukki - Betrayal Knows My Name are both unaware about their pasts and do not realise how important they are to the series.

Even though Uragiri wa Boku no Namae o Shitteiru and Vampire Knight feature different plots, they carry some similarities. Both main characters carry pasts that they cannot remember- for Yuki from Uragiri wa Boku it's his past lives and the powers he carries, and for Yuuki from Vampire Knight  it's her past with the vampires. Both main characters also have a stronger, darker male character that will protect them at all costs and is tied into their pasts. In my opinion, if you liked one, you will probably like the other.

Both of these shows are pretty serious with dark aspects and only intermittent dabs of humor. Both shows have beautyfully written story-lines and deep, interesting characters. All in all, they are characters you start to care for and plots you become engaged in.

The similarity between Luka and Kaname , isn't only character wise but also visualy in my opinion . Both stories have a different plot but if you liked Uragiri wa Boku no Namae o Shitteiru , I'm sure you'd love Vampire Knight, I would recommend both anime to those that like Shoujo .

Both have a simular plot, main characters with the same name, and even vampires. 

Both main characters have amnesia and are thrusted into a new situation. 

Although there is a difference in the thrust, Yuki(Vampire Knight) gains powers later on and already knows of vampire while the other Yuki(TBKMY) knows nothing of the vampires, demons and world around him and at the very beginning gains powers he must adabt to.

They have a very similar vibe and dark story themes, main characters are similar sterotypes and the art style and era are similar as well <3 I loved both of these growin gup

The main theme of X and Uragiri wa Boku no Namae wo Shitteru (Betrayal knows my Name) is "destiny" and what it means to be caught up in events that you cannot control. It's about friendship (and love) and what happens if friends are on opposite sides of a battle that involves the future of the whole world.

Both shows have lots of pretty anime boys - bishies fighting for or against each other with all the impications that usually has for a fangirls/boys mind, if you get my drift.

On the other side, where CLAMP manages to tell a dramatic and tearful story, Uraboku seemed forced and annoying. This is a matter of taste of course, but it should be mentioned here as a warning for those that watch or read X first.

Action packed, each displays teamwork for a common goal. The members are concerned in protecting the main character and will sacrifice anything to do so. While X is not shounen-ai, it deals with some strong male relationships that could be hinted of as a pairing.

You can watch these two anime for their fantastic impending-destruction-of-the-world action, or for their focus on strong male friendships which could be interpreted as more than friendships. Similar dark atmospheres and settings with fabulous gothic character design, both are also a treat for the eyes.

These both deal with an impending world-wide doom and stage being set for a big, final battle.

Both series are very sentimental, and there's a focus on suffering, self-sacrifice and split allegiances.

Both series have great music and a cast of physically beautiful characters.

I would see that X has more action and "grit" to it while UraBoku is softer.

In X TV Kamui and Fuuma used to be childhood friends. Kamui and Fuuma did not know they were destined to fight eachother in the future, kind of. And Betrayal knows my name Luka and Yuki were kindof a lover, but that time Yuki was still a girl. Something happened in the past that Yuki were born into a boy body. Yuki didn't know anything until he start having some weird dreams. But the best part i love at the show (Betrayal knows my name) is the promise that luka made to Yuki he did not forget it. and that part of the promise that can make me cry is when Luka tells yuki will NOT betrayal you.

I recommend people to watch it. There are somethings in that animes that will teaches you lesson so, ENJOY.!!!!!!!!!

Both Betrayal and X deal with the theme of destiny and what it means to fight for what you believe in. They both also have best friend characters turned arch-enemies. 

While Betrayal is softer, and sometimes a bit repetitive, having breaks in between the fighting with slice-of-life moments and flashbacks. I wouldn't say its message is any less, to X. X has a darker setting both literally and figurately, and once its fighting starts there is no break. no stopping the coming war and characters on both sides of the war die.

They have different ways of conveying very similar messages, and I find they sort of companion shows that speak to each other. X speaks to a darker more bitter and hopeless outcome of prewritten destiny; while betrayal speaks to the lighter more hopeful and fearful side of breaking destiny.

Both are relatively dark shounen-ai animes, with Togainu no Chi being a hell lot bloodier. Not to mention, Shiki resembles Zess.

Two shounen-ai anime which have a darker atmosphere, Togainu no Chi and UraBoku are good recommendations for each other. If you like squeeing at brooding semes, innocent ukes, and attractive-yet-crazy villains, then these two shows will be right up your alley.

Both Stories have an underlying romance plot between the main male leads. Both are about characters who are generally considered by the people around to be too good-natured and naive to be in the situations they have been forced into. Betrayal is not as violent as Togainu no Chi, though they both deal rather heavily with war/combat and both contain scenes of blood and violence.

These two series have a very simmilar feel and art style between them. Highly recomend both of them. Both involve the re-incarnation of a main character followed by lots of bishounen.

Both anime have strong BL undertones where one male character is overly protective of the main male protagonist. They also dabble with reincarnation as well.

Both of these stories revolve around a seemingly normal boy teenager. Both are confronted with a strange man. While the enconters are very different, both leave lasting impressions on the main male. Both of the strange men are protention love interests for the main male charater. Both the shows also involve the main characters fighting deamons that invade the darkness of people's hearts. Both also involve a shocking revelation about a friend of the main male. Both the main characters also find out that they have special powers that they were unaware of. While Monochrome Factor is less serious than Uragiri was Boku no Namae o Shitteiru both are very similar in their natures.

Both of the main story lines revolve around high school age boys who are leading seemingly normal lives until they're pulled into a world of darkness that they don't quite understand. Both are confronted with the fact that they have powers or will come into supernatural powers, both for similar reasons that I won't state so I don't ruin the plot. Both also have protectors/partners- Zess for Yuki and Shirogane for Akira- and fight alongside their friends. I think that if you liked one, you will probably like the other.

The romance is alot like, there both shounen ai with hints of love between the characters without anything major like, sexual intercourse. XD

Both Descendants of Darkness and Uraboku have continuous story-lines that keep you interested, they have interesting, mysterious characters and intriguing villains. They also have similar dark, serious atmospheres.

If You enjoy watching Uragiri wa Boku, You for sure would like to check out Loveless! Both are story of troubled young boy with one day meets strange people with assert that he’s irreplaceable in some sort of fight. In both cases fight will be emotionally damaging for boy. Yuki (Uragiri wa Boku) will be forced to defeat his best friend, when Ritsuka (Loveless) will contemplate painful lost of his beloved brother.  Also both series are Shounen-ai and have similar flavor.

While it isnt a master/servant relationship there are some similarties ( did i even spell that right ? ) . Both of the main characters are protected and "loved" by the powerful spell casting males that protect them . One of them is protect by his lover from his  previous Incarnation . The males that protect them also risk their lives to make sure they stay safe and the males are both able to cast powerful spells

In both anime the main character has some powers and has to be protected since he is very important in the fight against the bad guys. The protectors are mainly good-looking guys who are keeping some secrets from the protagonist, however some of them get revealed gradually. There is also the theme of reincarnation which is shared by both anime.

Both 07-ghost and  Uraboku have tormented main characters with a past that is difficult to grasp, they are extremely compassionate and would do anything for the people they love. Both involve supernatural powers and hints of shounen-ai, animal companions and fighting for ones beliefs. Additionally, both main characters have destinies that they have to discover and come to terms with.

Each of these series have a strong Shonen-ai undertone, a lot of super powered/demon people, and a lot of well known voice actors. If you like a bit of action with shonen-ai in the background, then these are for you.

The plots in both Uraboku and Kuroshitsuji are mainly revolving around a demon protecting a young boy. Both series are constructed with fantasy elements, and both have popular seiyuus such as Takahiro Sakurai and Ono Daisuke. A little bonus is that Sebastian and Luka resemble each other in several ways. If you liked one of them, you'll probably like the other one, too!

The stories are remotely similar to each other but used in different contexts.

Both Saya and Yuki have forgotten their past and are being forced to fight. Main characters in both anime had a clsoe friend on their side in their past lives. Luka and Haji also have similar personalities and share the same devotion to the main characters. Uragiri wa Boku no Namae o Shitteiru is, however, much lighter than Blood +.
