Both shows center around a male character reincarnated into a fantasy world where they just so happen to be strongly adept at magic. In both shows, the main character grows up not fully understanding the world and allies with people whom can teach him about the world and in return, they learn how to fight. Animation style and tone are very similar between the two.

Mhmmm both are 100% same although i prefer kenja no mago over the 8th son coz kenja no mago have better fan service and likeable characters also to mention that the fights are pretty epic even more than the cgi dragon

Both are overworked white collar gets reincarnated as a boy in fantasy world. The MCs are practically the same: plain, boring, and OP. The isekai works only as a transportation method of MC to new world, not much after.

They both find a way to take an already over-loaded genre (Isekai), and give a little depth to it. While there is no herm in Wiseman's Grand Child, they do share a lot in common. I just hope they both get a 2nd season.

i liked that both were fantasy and isekai anime although i prefer the 8th son better then the wise mans child both give me the excitement and thrill to get me hooked to the series i with there were more or even another season to tidy the ends up

they're both shit lol, that was all i was gonna say but i have to have 100 characters. I don't like either of them, both tacky and fall into the same genre of easy to finish villains and characters in love w the lead

BOTH ARE ISEKAI GENRE WITH OP MC IF IT IS IN YOUR TASTE ANF THEY HAVE THEIR COUNTERPARTS WELL WRITTEN BUT TO BE SAID THEY HAVE ONLY ONE SEASON SO I THINK IT WILL BE BEST FOR NEWCOMERS IN ISEKAI GENRE

The romance is the same in both shows. Where the main person gets with a girl that has some class (the smartphone show he gets with some kid while the 8th son gets with someone that looks in their 20s). Both have women that want his D. Both everyone likes the main.

Both main characters go to another world and have memories from there previous worlds.
Both Main characters have many people that like them (marriage)
If you like one of these animes I can almost guarantee you will like the other.

The way the MCs of both adapt to their new world is similar. They also both end up having infantile regression as their young bodies affect their minds. while "The 8th Son? Are you kidding me?" is far more action-based than "By the Grace of the Gods" is the two give off a similar vibe. Both are very wholesome and both leave you cheering for the MC in this new and unfamiliar world.
