If you're looking for anime similar to The 8th Son? Are You Kidding Me?, you might like these titles.
A young man dies in a car accident and is reborn in a magical new world. The old, yet wise Merlin finds the boy, names him Shin, raises him from infancy, and teaches him combat and powerful magic along the way. 15 years later, Shin is ready to travel the globe on his own, but Merlin forgot to teach him something major—common sense!
Both shows center around a male character reincarnated into a fantasy world where they just so happen to be strongly adept at magic. In both shows, the main character grows up not fully understanding the world and allies with people whom can teach him about the world and in return, they learn how to fight. Animation style and tone are very similar between the two.
Mhmmm both are 100% same although i prefer kenja no mago over the 8th son coz kenja no mago have better fan service and likeable characters also to mention that the fights are pretty epic even more than the cgi dragon
Both have main character male. Both the MC are reincarnated into a noble family. Both of the MC are a pro magic user. Both of the MC have girls hanging around.
Both are isekai that focus on a mage guenius that got reincarnated to a noble family. In both stories the MC gets his own harem.
Both are overworked white collar gets reincarnated as a boy in fantasy world. The MCs are practically the same: plain, boring, and OP. The isekai works only as a transportation method of MC to new world, not much after.
Both shows are Isekai where main hero is OP magician. In both they somewhat struggle with new world mentality and are dragged to politics due to their powers.
Both animes have strong OP main characters, in fact, the MC is so overpowered after getting isekaied that side characters become irrelevant and yet The storyline remains captivating.
Both are set in a magic world.
Maincharacters are overpowered and do not hide the fact.
They both find a way to take an already over-loaded genre (Isekai), and give a little depth to it. While there is no herm in Wiseman's Grand Child, they do share a lot in common. I just hope they both get a 2nd season.
i liked that both were fantasy and isekai anime although i prefer the 8th son better then the wise mans child both give me the excitement and thrill to get me hooked to the series i with there were more or even another season to tidy the ends up
they're both shit lol, that was all i was gonna say but i have to have 100 characters. I don't like either of them, both tacky and fall into the same genre of easy to finish villains and characters in love w the lead
Yeah the person who wrote the previous review is correct even the main character is a cardboard cutout of a personality
BOTH ARE ISEKAI GENRE WITH OP MC IF IT IS IN YOUR TASTE ANF THEY HAVE THEIR COUNTERPARTS WELL WRITTEN BUT TO BE SAID THEY HAVE ONLY ONE SEASON SO I THINK IT WILL BE BEST FOR NEWCOMERS IN ISEKAI GENRE
After dying as a result of God's mistake, the main character finds himself in a parallel world, where he begins his second life. His only possessions are the body that God gave back to him and a smartphone that works even in this new world. As he meets all kinds of new people and forges new friendships, he ends up learning the secret to this world. He inherits the legacy of an ancient civilization and works together with the kings of some very laid-back countries on his carefree travels through this new world.
The romance is the same in both shows. Where the main person gets with a girl that has some class (the smartphone show he gets with some kid while the 8th son gets with someone that looks in their 20s). Both have women that want his D. Both everyone likes the main.
If you liked either one of these 'light' trash harem stories you will def like the other
both OP MC that came from another world and every girl he looks at will fall in love with him and ask to be his wife
Both main characters are OP
Both main characters go to another world and have memories from there previous worlds.
Both Main characters have many people that like them (marriage)
If you like one of these animes I can almost guarantee you will like the other.
Avid bookworm and college student Motosu Urano ends up dying in an unforeseen accident. This came right after the news that she would finally be able to work as a librarian like she had always dreamed of. When she regained consciousness, she was reborn as Myne, the daughter of a poor soldier. She was in the town of Ehrenfest, which had a harsh class system. But as long as she had books, she didn't really need anything else. However, books were scarce and belonged only to the nobles. But that doesn't stop her, so she makes a decision... "If there aren't any books, I'll just create some."
Just like The 8th Son, Ascendance of a Bookworm is about someone who gets reincarnated as a poor all powerful child who eventually grows to nobility.
Similarities both have:
Reincarnated as a child (from adult) into poor family in another world
Have a kind of magic
Medieval times
---
Bookworm:
poor to weathly themed
she has a specific goal
main character is female
nobility is a factor
more of a unique isekai with not so much comedy
---
8th son:
focuses more on adventure / magic
main character is male
seems more like a typical isekai with more comedy.
I can't thing of any anime that this series remind me more of. both series is about a child there are from another world and usege there knowlage to get very popular in there new world

"Satou," aka Ichiro Suzuki is a programmer in the middle of a death march. He was supposed to be taking a nap but somehow wakes up in another world... In order to survive, Satou uses Meteor Shower, his level jumped to 310 and he became extremely wealthy. Whether it be dream or reality, Satou’s journey was now beginning.
Just another trashy isekai story that has an OP MC, the story being like super muh and there's a stupid uneeded harem

Both anime leads were once corporate employees who reincarnate into a child body in a new world.
Both worlds have magic and aristocracy.
The way the MCs of both adapt to their new world is similar. They also both end up having infantile regression as their young bodies affect their minds. while "The 8th Son? Are you kidding me?" is far more action-based than "By the Grace of the Gods" is the two give off a similar vibe. Both are very wholesome and both leave you cheering for the MC in this new and unfamiliar world.
If you liked one of these I'd recommend watching the other as well <3
With her baptism ceremony complete, Myne begins work in the temple as an apprentice shrine maiden. Awaiting within is what she always wanted: a room full of books! But her new life isn't quite the dream she was hoping for; she's surrounded by nobles who scorn her commoner origins, and even her own servants are causing her trouble. On top of that, she has to constantly battle the weakness of her own body. But with her love for books burning in her heart, she gives her all to her new apprentice duties.
I can't thing of any anime that this series remind me more of. both series is about a child there are from another world and usege there knowlage to get very popular in there new world
Both are technical isekai.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Seven high school students are involved in an airplane crash. When they woke up, they found themselves in a parallel world where magic and beastmen exist. Of course, they panicked at their sudden unexpected predicament... or not? Instead, they create a power plant in a world that doesn't have electricity, they did a little extra work and managed to take economic control over a metropolis, they managed to repay their gratitude to some oppressed citizens by upending a corrupt government, and basically do whatever they feel like?!
They are both set in a place where the protagasit are sent to a different place or world and they have to work from the ground up or in the middle and they end up succeding at what they are trying to do.
Both of the MC's are overpowered and also they both got their own harem, so honestly both of them are just overly entertaining.
Sei, a 20-year-old office worker, is whisked away to a whole new world. Unfortunately for Sei, the ritual that summoned her—meant to produce a “Saint” who would banish the dark magic—brought two people over instead of one. And everyone prefers the second girl over Sei?! But this is just fine by Sei, who leaves the royal palace to set up shop making potions and cosmetics with her newfound magic. Business is booming, and this might not be such a bad life, after all…as long as her supposed Sainthood doesn’t come back to haunt her.
The main hero in both stories is isekaied to fantasy land while possesing ultimate magic power. In policits the main hero does not have any skills and depends on friends not to be used by others.
Both this anime give you a feeling of the same, I really like them both and want a season 2 of both.I will not go in ditals but if you have seen one and like it i think you will like the other one to.Hug
