Both of these Animes (and mangas) main characters are extremely overpowered compared to other creatures and aren't human. Both of these overpowered creatures rule over others.
Both of them have a MC that is overpowered AF. Both of them were human but are not anymore. Both of the MC rule over others that are also powerful. Although Overlord is a dude going into a game and this is about a guy dying and reincarnating in another world.
Both of these feature a human MC who becomes an OP monster in another world, after which they start building a country / expanding their influence using their human intelligence and a number of strong servants.
I, the protagonist, was just an ordinary high school girl, but suddenly I was reincarnated as a spider monster in a fantasy world. Not only that, but I awakened in a dungeon filled with vicious monsters. Armed with only my human knowledge and my overwhelming positivity, I'm forced to use spiderwebs and traps to defeat far stronger monsters just to stay...

These are pretty similar for starters they get reincarnated both a none human animal like in So I'm a spider so what she get renicarnated as a spider. And in the other anime is reincarnated as a slime
They both have a videogame-type of feeling. About leveling up and meeting more characters that you could be-friend or destroy. The animation is also quite enjoyable. For that time I got reincarnated as a slime, the animation is lovley. I definetly think it's worth watching. For the spider isekai, the story is quite well built (in my opinion) and both of these animes it has them become other-worldy beings through reincarnation.
The two definitive "reincarnated as a magical creature" anime, Spider focuses more on the challenges of survival when being reincarnated and starting from level 1 whereas Tensura has such an overpowered main character that it's able to pivot to focusing on worldbuilding and politics.
Naofumi Iwatani, an uncharismatic Otaku who spends his days on games and manga, suddenly finds himself summoned to a parallel universe! He discovers he is one of four heroes equipped with legendary weapons and tasked with saving the world from its prophesied destruction. As the Shield Hero, the weakest of the heroes, all is not as it seems. Naofumi is soon...

it is very interesting to see how the mc becomes strong from zero and also the story is not like the the other isekai anime it is a new story with a great plot. hope u checkout my recommendation(sorry for grammer mistakes)
I must admit that I was very surprised with either animes. Let me explain why.First of all, I am the kind of person that has gotten very bored with the "Virtual world" plot that we have been fed massively ever since the initial release of Log Horizon (which is really good let's not deny it) and Sword Art Online (which is quite good plot-wise but overly extended to my mind). I was in a dire need of seeing something different. The Rising of the Shield Hero is an anime that starts in this Virtual World//Parallel World setting which really is a fantasy land and the plot slowly evolues in something that isn't quite what we had expected, in a manner quite similar to That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime.
What I enjoy is that it isn't your average "aventure", but instead focuses a lot on the Character evolution and both animes explore thoroughly the sides of their characters.
If you liked either of these, you are sure to enjoy the other one!
If you liked this, then you will probably like this too. As they are both isekai fantasy stories, though one takes a darker turn than the others comedic and cheerful take.
