Akemitsu Akegami was always told by his father that "no one can live alone"...but he's sure determined. After all, his father sure wasn't saying it with the best intentions, and Akemitsu has no desire to become like that creep. But when a chance encounter with a young woman leaves him with thoughts that are all too impure, he decides to do what he must—become a Buddhist monk and renounce worldly ways. But the temple he decides to devote himself to... is full of women? And that same young woman is there, too?? What's a guy to do?
I like this show, however the story progression is really bad. We barely get any development even towards the end of the anime. This is typical for anime that only consist of 12 episodes, and while many anime don't make it clear whether 12 episodes may have been enough to fit in the canon story, this time it is at least clear to me that they could have delegated the time a little bit more wisely and given us far more story progress if they simply chose to. Many episodes are practically filler, even if they may be classed as "canon" + there's many misunderstandings that do not advance the story in any way shape or form. However, in this case I think it's worth seeking the source material. It may actually turn out to be pretty good. Obviously, this anime is purely a cliche, but does have some unique characters with cool character designs, so it's not completely cliche, but the story is literally as basic and normal as it will get. If you get mindblown by this anime somehow, then you probably didn't watch very many anime in your time to understand just how unoriginal and common the tropes in this anime are. This anime literally does not deserve anything above a 5/10. I only give it an extra point because the ending might be pretty nice considering the concepts used (not the anime ending).
While the idea was good, it was very slow and repetitive. The characters and jokes were good, but this show could have been a lot more.
