Both Tekkaman and Guyver deal with people who get their power by transforming into a super strong armored figure. Although that is also where perhaps the comparison ends, the feel of both shows is a bit similar. Though, Guyver is aimed at a slightly older audience then Tekkaman Blade.

Both shows also feature a lot of action and violence, with the hero continuously needing to fight more and more difficult odds and strong enemies.

Guyver and Tekkaman Blade are both quite old, as you can tell by their animation; however this does not deter from their storylines. Both series are similar in the way that an alien species has somehow created a form of bio-suit that can merge with humans' (possibly other creatures') bodies in order to increase their fighting potential tremendously. If you're interested in plots with creatures out to destroy the world, as well as an engaging back story with emotional aspects to the storyline, then either one of these is for you. Although these series aren't entirely similar in their storylines, they do share certain very similar aspects. It's worth checking them both out as they are valuable assets to anyone's collection.

Ah, the one fight that many mecha fans would like to see - Guyver vs Blade. It would be epic beyond proportion. That said chances are if you enjoy one of these you'll like the other, especially for the over the top action. Both Guyver and Blade are extremely powerful characters that fight to protect the Earth and their friends from various monsters and aliens. Tekkaman Blade does a better job at storytelling and handling emotion, while Guyver has a lot of interesting plot twists and ideals.

If you liked Tekkma, then you're likely to enjoy Nadesico as well, they're both set on Earth / our Solar System and both involve huamand fighting aliens to defend our planet.

Both series have futureistic settings, and interessting characters who are developed nicely throughout the series. One difference though would be that Tekkaman has a relativeliy serious tone, wihle Nadesico is some what more humourous with a goofy female lead and all.

Both series are about people whose great power comes from the armour they have. Theytry to protect things which are most important in their life even if it means putting their life into danger. One more simmilarity would be an kinda ancient style of graphic which the series authors used. If you liked one, you'd surely like the other.

Both of these series have a similar base setting: in future earth is being destroyed by unknown lifefoms and protagonist starts up as being modified against his will by the attacking side.

So if you liked Tekkaman Blade you'll definatelly enjoy Blue Gender as well.

Lots of similarities between these two. Main characters Takaya "D-Boy" (Blade) and Casshern aren't exactly normal humans and both are very indifferent to their surroundings, but develop and change a lot. They're very powerful delivering fast paced and over the top action. Both shows heavily emphasize strong rivalries with villians that are very similar to the main characters, with Blade vs Evil, and Casshern vs Dio. Both shows feature gritty, grimdark, and post-apocalyptic settings with similar pacing. To top it all off, they share the same composer Kaoru Wada, his music in both is very similar and incredible. Fun note: Seiyuu Toshiyuki Morikawa (whom supposedly broke two mics with his voice during Tekkaman Blade) = Blade and Dio.

Heroic Age

Heroic Age

Far, far away in a distant time, there is a tribe of people called the Golden Tribe who have the ability to create stars and foretell the future. They gave out a warning to those who have yet to mature: 'Move.'. Three tribes answered their call: the Silver Tribe, the Bronze Tribe, and the Heroic Tribe. Soon after, the Golden Tribe encountered a crashed ship in which only a baby human known as Age survived; they named the child's race the Iron Tribe and assigned one of the few living members of the Heroic Tribe to protect him and his race. Now, in a distant part of the galaxy, humanity is threatened with extinction at the hands of the other tribes. With only a prophecy to go on, they set out to the deepest depths of space to find their savior named Age -- humanity's last hope.

Both series have a very similar plot. Humans have reached space and get attacked by an alien army, which has them vastly overpowered. They then get saved by a single mysterious warrior. The mystery man in each case appears to be from the same society as the attackers and seems to use the same technology as the attackers, which gives the humans the edge they need to survive.
