Like Teekyuu S2, Plastic Nee-san is a really fast-paced comedy which revolves around school girls doing random stuff. Also both of them are quite short and have no plot. In short, they are so similar that if you liked one of them you're definitely going to like the other.

Brad Brad says...

Both shows are shorts that are filled with chaotic, random humour. The viewer gets bombarded by jokes one after another without pause, with absolutely zero time spent on any meangingful plot.

If you enjoyed one of these shows then the other will definitely be to your liking.

These shows are extremely similar in pacing and gag-style humor. High school setting and a female main cast. As a matter of fact, Plastic Nee-san might even contain a higher % of tennis content than all of Teekyuu.

The only minor difference between the two shows is that Teekyuu is somewhat faster paced and Plastic Nee-san has a bit more content bordering on ecchi.

Lucky Star

Lucky Star

In present day Japan, the life of a school girl is never dull. The easily-bored Konata never finds time to study because of her otaku habits, which frustrates hard-working Kagami to no end. On the other hand, laid-back Tsukasa always manages to go with the flow, while Miyuki is concerned with keeping her status as resident know-it-all. Join these four girls as they muse and meander their way through everyday events such as eating chocolate cones, doing homework, gaming, and trips to the beach galore.

Play Lucky Star on fast-forward and you have Teekyuu. Both have random comedy and little plot (zero plot in the case of Teekyuu). I think if you enjoyed one you might be interested in the other.

Ai Mai Mii

Ai Mai Mii

Ai, Mai and Mii are three would-be manga artists who can't seem to stay out of trouble, let alone complete a project! Whether they're having a one-off encounter with the forest dweller Yamu, becoming human sprinklers, entering manga battles or entering a doujinshi fair, the trio have fun one day at a time.

Both of these shows are short, fast-faced, and random to the extreme. Both are about a group of high school girls in a club, however club activities are rarely even seen due ot the randomness of the show. Neither have a plot and all attempts at humor depend at how random a scene can be.

If you somehow were able to enjoy one, you'd probably enjoy the other as well.

Puni Puni Poemy

Puni Puni Poemy

Puni Puni Poemi is a spin-off of Excel Saga, the classic lampoon of all that is anime. It takes the daughter of two Excel Saga characters and puts her through parodies of shoujo, shounen, ecchi, hentai, and everything in-between. This eccentric show is the "Scary Movie" of anime: younger viewers need not apply.

An all female cast in both series which contain a fair share of high tempo gag comedy with a fair number of mature gags, wordjokes and parodies of other shows.

Main (minor) differences are on one hand, the implied shoujo-ai, the more explicit nature of the jokes in Puni Puni Poemy. On the other hand, the somewhat higher tempo of Teekyuu while having a shorter episode length. Additionally, Teekyuu is all over the place in terms of locations and does have somewhat of a tennis theme (it's in the name), Puni Puni Poemy has no such thing and is set mostly in and around high school.

Over the top random gag comedy with an all female cast. The style and type of the comedy is generally unpredictable, random and violent. There's the standard trope of the straight girl and a bunch of funny characters in both series. Although in both these series, the importance of this straight woman is diminished over time. Neither show is particularly vested in reality with their jokes and locations.

The only main difference is the tempo of the jokes in Teekyuu, which are quick due to the difference in episode sizes

Kigurumikku V3

Kigurumikku V3

A hyper girl named Azuki Edomae and her friends Mutsumi Mutsuki and Serika Shihōdō protect the peaceful order of a town by transforming into Kigurumikku-Swan, Kigurumikku-Falcon, and Kigurumikku-Swallow, respectively, via cosplay outfits. "Kigurumi" is a type of cosplay that essentially turns a wearer into a giant plush toy or doll.

Did you love the fast-paced comedy in Teekyuu 2? Then look no further because Kigurumikku has it in spades! The only difference between them is that Kigurumikku is a bit ecchi at times, but you'll enjoy it anyway.

Excel Saga

Excel Saga

F City, F Prefecture: the battleground where good and evil have finally chosen to decide once and for all who will rule the world…or at least that's the general idea! Neither side seems up for the task, as surviving the brutality of everyday life is enough of a chore. On the side of evil is the organization of Across, its only member the loudmouthed and abrasive Excel who struggles just to put food in her stomach; on the side of good, three disenfranchised, unemployed bachelors whose only pursuit in life is romance. Add in alien invasions, jungle warfare, and Mexican immigrant laborers to Japan, and this war doesn't seem likely to be ending soon!

Excel Saga has a similar feeling than Teekyuu and share the same kind of random, nonsensical comedy. Even if Excel Saga's episodes are full-lenght and the pace isn't that fast, you'll enjoy it if you liked Teekyuu S2.

Pugyuru

Pugyuru

In a normal neighborhood in a normal city, a young maid arrives from the maid village to help out a young unnamed girl. But this battery-operated being is no ordinary maid! Not only can she remove her head and turn her body into glue (amongst other things), Cheko-chan also has the wackiest of friends. From Mizore, the edible snow spirit from the north, to Nachiko, a large squid who likes to change faces, to Kanato the Yankee, the bully who is the strongest of them all, it seems the craziness has just begun in the life of a once typical high school student.

Like Teekyuu 2 Pugyuru has plenty of random humor that would make you either go "huh?", laugh, or both at the same time. It might differ in the pace and the setting, but if you want something as random as this show but not so fast-paced then give Pugyuru a try!
