So I want to start off by saying I did generally enjoy the first season or part 1 of this series. Or at least the idea's presented in it and it made me interested in another season. Boy was I wrong.
Essentially season two was just a slog of too many idea's and storylines that lead to death and nowhere. Death is just feels like an excuse to be edgey without much thought beyond that. There is little to no character development and any changes to characters just happen because thats just the way it is.
Storywise it still presents interesting idea's but its so badly executed that your left more confused or simply dissappointed.
I really wanted to like the series but in the end it was just dissappointing. So much so that I felt the need to express it here as a review.
honestly I never thought that i'll ever give a bad review of an anime that I chose to watch........ boy was I wrong!I quite liked the 1st part of the series more like the ideas to be exact but in the end it was beyond disappointing. The plot was all over the place, confusing!Unnecessary death, romance, flashbacks , and character development i'm not sure if it was actually even there. just stick with one genre will ya? why make such an mess? I'm sure I was able to sit through this just cause of GAI's face man!
"Uhhh lmao eks dee , who would watch this ?" I can only see bad reviews on this anime , and why ? Because it doesn't have hentai , it doesn't have "romance , slice of life and high school" bs that everyone this day enjoys , this anime doesn't talk about some boring life of a random nobody that flirts with every girl he gets his chance , and then poof , just like that he finds a girlfriend with big chest and back , honestly , the anime audience today is the worst . This anime has some badass fight scenes , an interesting story and a bit of a sad one . If you guys don't like action just go watch your "slice of life" bs , don't just make a bad publicity to this good anime , for me , it has a 8 out of 10 . Good story , pretty good animation , the sound isn't bad either , the characters are pretty interesting , the main character might be a bit annoying , but it's because he suffered a lot .
I have just finished watching this anime, this anime is shit. when I start seeing I actually love the mc, he looks good, and l love characters with a dark and cool personality. however, he died in the second ep, seriously how can an mc die so fast, and I still don't understand how he dies. not just the mc, the girl is a bitch in this anime. the mc helps her and saves her when she is young. when the mc die, she sad for like a day and kiss another guy who looked like the mc.i totally do not recommend this anime to anyone.
Evil weapons possess people, turning them into monsters in mecha armor who want to fight each other.
⚔🗡⚔
Weapons are made for one purpose.
Drenched in blood and infused with hatred, their souls become demons living within the steel waiting to possess a body in order to wield themselves.
A covert orginazation, the Shoshidai, use people partially possessed by the demonic weapons to fight people completely consumed by the demons, the Busoma. But eventually even they are consumed by the power and monsters they wield.

Sword Gai: The Animation, Parts 1 and 2 follows the lives of several people in the Shoshidai, along with young Sayaka and Gai Ogata.
THE PLOT: It's like a train with twenty cars and they all derailed along the way in different directions.
CHARACTERS: Five more than we needed, and going in every direction. One even runs from a horney fat lady. One character, Seiya Ichijo, almost steals the show, and several major characters are built up only to have abrupt, disappointing ends that felt meaningless.
Gai Ogata - Even though his name is in the title, we only see enough of him throughout to let us know he's still alive. Barely. But I still enjoyed his character the most. His personalilty is hard to deal with because he's a moody teenager dealing with trauma old and new. He has a dark outlook on life in general because it kicked him in every way possible. Most people in his situation couldn't be happy-go-lucky either. Frankly, his character is the most "human" I've seen in a while.
Sayaka Ogata - A lot of viewers won't like her, but I empathize with her. She annoys Gai, and annoys us the the process, but I understand her character only has genuine concern for him and doesn't know what to do for him. As someone with family members who make me anxious for their health, I relate to Sayaka. She also does not do anything overly dumb, or annoying.
HIGHLIGHTS: Because there are many sharp objects throughout the series, you never know who will fall on a blade. Many characters lose their sanity and/or are taken over by the Busoma's personality. It kept me engaged because I wanted to know who survived.
Also, although I'm not a huge fan of CGI, I did enjoy the use of it to make the Busoma mechas.
Though the plot was all over the place, the characters grew on me and just when I wanted to drop this, something or some character made me keep watching in the nick of time.
Rated PG-16+ Gore, murder, people being run through, loss of limbs, multiple suicides, a comedic bedazzled sex scene, duel sword pin cushion in reverse, etc. Mentally disturbed characters with sharp objects. We all know it's not kid friendly. 😃👍
