Virtual reality is the best, and 1/2 Prince is a great manga for it. The difference is that the manga has a female lead that uses a guy avatar.

Both feature futuristic technology that allows people to be in the game themselves. However, the characters themselves are normal school kids.

The story lines in both are quite different, as are the characters, but if you enjoy the themes either have, then you will probably like the other.

So this is really a recommendation for the first half of the first series of SAO, you know the idea about, if you stop playing the game and try to log out and stuff you die in SAO like you would die if you died in the game itself. Well Online the comic is pretty much surrounding that idea of dying if you stop playing. At first the Online the Comic seems more gory plus it is more along the horror lines compared to SAO but if you like the whole High Stakes Game idea and dying because of a game then check it out (and vise versa). Just one extra thing....Online the Comic is slightly darker than SAO but I still would recommend it, also it has less romance.
