If you've recently watched season one, you might want to skip over most of this recap movie. Apart from a few (mostly narrative) fan service scenes in between, this is pretty much just a heavily abridged version of that season.Might be important to note that the last 20 or so minutes is a new, mini adventure, so skip ahead to that if you don't wish to sit through old content.I rated this as 5 coz for 140mins only about 30 or so are new content, which is a bit of a let down. Also, I say 140mins, coz the information on this site (which states 110mins) is incorrect.

I personally like Sword Art Online, however, Extra Edition is truly a waste. The vast majority of extra edition is a recap of season 1 (Aincrad and Fairy Dance arcs). The last 20 minutes of Extra Edition is actually new content, however it is optional to watch it. The mini-adventure in the last 20 minutes isn't relevant to the main plot line of Sword Art Online or the 2nd season. If you are about to watch season 2 and do not remember anything about season 1, Extra Edition might be a good watch to refresh your mind on some of the things that happened in season 1. If season 1 is still fresh on your mind, skip to the last 20 minutes if you want new content.

Sorry for my bad english. Thanks for understanding. :) If you have watched season one in lesser period than one month this in not worth watching. This is just recap and if you don't watch you will not lose on anything.
