Warning: the author of this video barely passed his digital arts class and probably got sued too.

I honestly swear that at times I doubt what is considered anime on this site. Manner movies, infomercials and musical PowerPoint presentations all seem to fall into the category nowadays.

Supercell: Black Rock Shooter (S:BRS) is not an anime, it’s more of an art piece… kinda. It features someone’s attempt to demonstrate their basic knowledge of Adobe After Effects.

There is not much to review here as this ‘anime’ is roughly 4 minutes long and features a (mediocre) Vocaloid track and Huke’s artwork accompanied by some animation tweens and gradient filters. The artist either ran out of ideas or material to show by the end and decided to loop everything in reverse to fill up the last minute of the video for a dramatic effect.

Later this video would spawn a very awesome OVA followed by a horrendous anime series, where you get to hear this delightful song again, 11 more times.

Should you bother watching S:BRS? No, not even if you like Vocaloid, the track is bad and so is everything else here. Google up some Huke illustrations and listen to a better song for 4 minutes instead!
