This anime is a spawn of one of the good ol' classic fighting game, like Tekken, both go back a long way. Both have pretty kickass fighting scenes which relive the ingame moves the characters use, as well as being true to the games' storylines.

Although they both have similar 'trials' they must go through in order to achieve what they wish, Street Fighter follows Ryu closely as its main protagonist whereas Tekken has multiple main protagonists, the most prominent being Jun Kazama, Kazuya Mishma and Jin Kazama.

Both animes have enjoyable plot moments and a story that you can really get into, especially if you love martial arts and character development. But hell, whatever type of anime person you are you won't be disappointed as you find yourself watching them again and buying the games :).

If you're a big fan of fighting games, then you've probably played, and enjoyed both of the games that these two anime are based on. If that's the case then you may well find some enjoyment from seeing your favourite characters fully animated, and kicking ass on the small screen.

The big difference between the two is that the Tekken movie is animated in high-end CGI, whereas the BlazBlue anime is more your run-of-the mill hand drawn animation style, for the most part.

If you're not a fan of these games, then i wouldn't recommend either as they are filled with animation, pacing, directing, character design and plot flaws that can make it almost unwatchable. But diehard fans should at least get a kick out of them!
