Both feature very human elements- of the lesser degree- and speaks volumes of the true nature of man.

Aoi Bungaku is not as action packed[though very violent at times] but it still ventures into the realms of the darker side of the human mind. Few several short stories it makes valuable comparisons between natural human emotion and severe psychosis, all the while maintaining a fast-paced story to keep the viewer interested.

If you like action, vice violence mixed in with your intelligent observation of society, this is a show for you.

The antagonists the these anime are really alike: smart and full of charisma, they charm people into doing there bidding and if that doesn't work they bribe with their incredible wealth or show their scary side to intimidate. Both try to get as much power as possible to take revenge on the people who did them wrong. Other then that: both anime tell a story about the dark and ugly side of the rich, though they do so in a different way.

If you did like the villain in one of them, you should check out the other.

At first I didn't notice how similar these two anime were, but as soon as I started breaking each down, I started catching a lot of similarities. Both Speed Grapher and Future Diary set you up with the main male lead and very early on introduce you to the main female love interest. The main couple in each respective anime go through hardships and slowly begin to show signs of love as each series progresses (FD being more romance based than SG). They also both have a lot of action wether it's hand to hand or using their abilities/diaries, both tend to keep you on your toes. They have a very lucrative story and the voice acting is superb in my opinion. If you liked one I'm sure you'll love the other.

Speed Grapher and Blood C are fun hack n slash type anime. Blood C is more school based and focuses on the innocence of the main female lead. On the other hand Speed Grapher follows a tough war vet that handles his business all over the city. Regardless of the setting both anime feature explicit content, a solid slowly unfolding plot, and ALL the violence. If you liked one I'm sure you'll love the other.

Akame is a lighter Shounen type series where Speed Grapher is a gory, graphic, dark, seinen piece. Both address the issue of corruption in society, specifically having to do with money. Both series deal with money and extreme wealth bringing out the worst in people and how society as a whole suffers when people can simply buy whatever they want, even human lives or pardons from evil, sadistic behavior. So the social commentary part is prevalent in both. However Speed Grapher is not for the faint of heart. While both anime are good for cynics (they both have a very cynical view of society) Speed Grapher is for cynics with a strong stomach for graphic violence and all sorts of depraved sexual content.

PSYCHO-PASS

PSYCHO-PASS

In the future, a system called Sibyl presides over the country and provides order to every facet of life. It dictates which job fields citizens should go into based on aptitude tests, and can even read each resident's mental state and predict which ones are likely to commit crimes in the future. Fresh from exams, Akane Tsunemori is beginning her career as an Inspector, a specialized police officer who works to apprehend these latent criminals and stop crimes before they happen. But not all that get caught are eliminated or jailed, some join the police force as Enforcers to provide insight into criminals’ minds, and Akane is warned not to get too close to them, as they're considered little more than hunting dogs. Though skeptical of this advice, and Sibyl's judgement, Akane is determined to work together with her Enforcers to protect the peace of her city and its inhabitants.

Speed Grapher and Psycho-Pass are both fairly dark, plotty series' that serve as fantastic social commentaries on corruption and evil in society. Psycho-Pass has more light moments where Speed Grapher has little to no comic relief, however this does not distract from the point the show is making. Both of these anime are highly cynical views of society and both have their fair amount of blood and gore (though Speed Grapher probably has more). They both use extreme situations to show how corruption can ruin society, both challenging the ideas of what "freedom" really is. Speed Grapher deals primarily with the corruption of money and material goods on the extremely wealthy vs the poor where as Psycho-Pass deals with the corruption of the criminal justice system and human nature in general but both of these ideas do intermingle at points. If you want great characters and beautifully thought out plots that suck you in and if you're the logical/analytical type both of these series would be worth a watch if you enjoyed one.
