If you're looking for anime similar to Space Adventure Cobra, you might like these titles.
Though Goku gave up being a cop to become a detective, his sense of loyalty never faded. Thus, when someone starts killing his former colleagues, he has to get involved. The job might be more than he can handle, however, as he's up against not only a half woman/half motorcycle cyborg, but also the creator of the strange eyes that have been driving his friends to destruction! Death seems likely, but the tables may turn once a mysterious benefactor implants a computer in his left eye -- a computer that can obtain any information, control any device, even destroy the world!

I may be recommending these because they are both by Buichi Terasawa. But this guy know how to write a story and definitely knows how to illustrate. both anime are very reminiscent of each other.
The style and feel of both series are very similar and it is the surrounding characers, and mostly the women, that are so alike as to be interchangable between the two anime.
Also, if cool guys with cybernetic enhancements that makes them unique is your thing then Goku: Midnight Eye and Space Adventue Cobra should be just what you're looking for.
Both are based off manga's by Buichi Terasawa and have very similar vibes and storytelling. Goku himself is very much like Cobra and they both posses in a way, a "power" or ability that gives them an edge when it comes to fighting. Great action, adult themes (Goku gets away with more being an OVA), very cool sci-fi settings, familiar imagery, etc.
Deep in the center of the universe, the galactic energy which controls all living things has become weak, causing plants, stones, and living beings to turn into deadly monsters. With time running out, only one woman has the ability to save the universe: the moon princess Aurora. Along with the cyborg Jan Cogo, hungry Hakka and brainiac Jogo, she sets out to the Great King planet to restore the galactic energy and save the galaxy!

This is another one in the row of old classic animes. To me these two series are really similar in style and content. Except that starzinger is abit more space focused. Just like Cobra, Starzinger got the blond long haired girls, the hero who is kinda stuborn but strong. Starzinger got abit more of a follow up in each ep than Cobra and seems abit more romantic than it too. I really recommend this one if you liked Cobra ^^
Once you have finished watching one of these shows you can start on the next. That is how close they are in ambiance and feel as well as animation.
Both anime can be described as Space operas and they have a strong focus on fun action-adventure with a hint of romance thrown in.
Follow interstellar bounty hunters Spike Spiegel and Jet Black as they scour the galaxy for criminals with prices on their heads. Hoping to escape their past, they live on the spaceship Bebop, but it's a dangerous business and old enemies don't forget easily. Allies come from unlikely sources, however, as they find comrades in the beautiful swindler Faye Valentine, the genius child hacker Ed and the genetically engineered 'data dog' Ein. Will they be able to help each other though their respective struggles, or is their fate really inevitable?
Both series star a charming chain-smoking bounty hunter/pirate who is just a bit clumsy but cocky as hell. Bebop and Cobra are also both set in the future, and both experiment with filmic techniques and camera-angles. Bebop was inspired by shows like Cobra.
Both are space adventures involving private investigator/bounty hunters who are somehow down on their luck but always manage to get the girl... :)
Ryo Saeba and Kaori Makumura are private detectives who make up the City Hunter team -- problem solvers who can be hired by writing 'xyz' in a certain train station. Ryo's uncanny accuracy with a gun is surpassed only by his lecherous tendencies, while Kaori provides the sideline support -- usually in the form of a 50,000 kg mallet to keep Ryo's ecchiness under control!

Ryo and Cobra were more than likely good friends, or maybe even roomates during college. But seriously! These two are both explosively awesome action comedies, with some of the manliest leads you'll ever come across (and both original Japanese voice actors for the two do an incredible job at bringing their characters to life!) Beautiful women are riddled throughout both series and the two men will stop at nothing to get them! Hah! You can certainly expect some serious drama here and there too and both shows do that exceptionally well. These two are classics nonetheless, you must watch them and all their sequels/spinoffs.

These two shows feature a very similar protagonist. They follow a kind hearted criminal. Lupin is a thief, and Cobra is a space pirate. They are often stealing something, but it is usually from the villains. They are always helping the less fortunate. Lupin and Cobra are the best at what they do, but they often seem to not take things seriously. They come off as goofy, when they are enjoying themselves. The only thing they love more than their schemes, are women.
Both shows are episodic, with a few arcs that follow the main character and his team getting in all kinds of trouble.
