K-On! and Sound! Euphonium are both about high school music clubs members that aim high. Both made by Kyo-Ani, the characters have a similar cute appeal, and the story is more about the relationships between characters.
Both shows are about school clubs that play instruments unlike K-on! Hibike is more serious and dramatic K-on! is lighthearted and warm. They also have similar art styles since they are from the same animation studio.
"If I don't have to do it, I won't. If I do have to do it, make it quick," is the basic principle by which energy conservationist Houtarou Oreki lives. But after his sister convinces him to join the Classics Club, Houtarou's life is turned upside down when he meets Chitanda, a perpetually-inquisitive girl who challenges the boy's easygoing existence. Intrigued by the slightest hint of a mystery afoot, Chitanda doesn't hesitate to pester the reluctant yet highly analytical Houtarou into satisfying her curiosity at every turn, no matter how small the problem. Alongside fellow members Satoshi and Ibara, the group tackles cases ranging from a self-locking classroom door, a strangely-popular library book, and even the shadowy history of the very club to which they belong!
Wakana Sakai was involved in music, but gave it up one day. Konatsu Miyamoto loves singing and can't be torn from it. Sawa Okita would do anything for her closest friends. They laugh, they fight, they worry, they love... Through their very ordinary lives, little by little the girls learn to move forward. Sometimes they feel as if they can't go on alone, but as long as they have their friends, they believe they'll make it someday. Wakana, Konatsu, Sawa, and the music they make in their ensemble weave a tiny but dazzling story of the power of music.
The bonus anime will feature a new Shirahamazaka High School Choir Club song as its theme.
A Vocaloid x voice ACTORS collaboration, featuring songs from EXIT TUNES. Within a sprawling academic metropolis lies an exclusive academy where students are encouraged to join clubs such as singing and archaeology to earn points for recognition. The most important of these is the big singing contest where all contestants have to sing in front of the entire school!
Haruki and Kazuma recap the first five episodes and review some cheerleading basics.
