Though a small selection of other humans are alive and willing to help her on her quest, others such as the evil floating brain creature Glyptofane want to prevent Earth's revival at all costs. The fate of the world lies in a young girl, her robotic companion, and a few brave souls; will she succeed?

The project title comes from the name of a robot that a scientist creates in this near-future science-fiction story. The scientist, Souichi Makimura, also developed the Amon perpetual motion machine that sustains the energy dome under which humans live their daily lives, 20 years after the last of the energy wars and environmental disasters had devastated the land. Makimura's 14-year-old daughter, Amane, has lived with Amanatsu since she was little.
