This show has a really interesting plot line. The animation style looks clean, but the artwork leaves some to be desired. Storyline aside, the voice acting is not great. The Forest Spirit's voice is fine, but the high pitched voice of Somali makes me want to tear my ears off and choke myself to death with them. Her character is poor, but the golem's character makes up for her shortcomings to some extent. This show would be so much better if I could pay attention to what Somali says instead of begging her to stop talking.
Somali and the Forest Spirit is set in a world where humans are nearly wiped off the face of the planet. It's about the journey of a father and daughter, where Golem, Somali's father figure, tries to find Somali's actual family. It's a slow burning show and the art/animation isn't really for me, but it's worth taking the time to sit down and see.
