Skippy Skippy says...

Both series involdes a guy with girls falling for him left and right. where the guys is protected by the girls more so in rosario to vampire then in shuffle!

wolfangel87 wolfangel87 says...

For the guy in Rosario to Vampire and Shuffle he is nicely protected by the girls with the three of them falling in love with him and vying for his attention. Both have very funny comical episodes when the girls are trying to get the attention of the guy.

Ravenstar Ravenstar says...

Both anime have strong elements of fantasy; Shuffle! deals with gods, demons, and humans, while Rosario deals with a lone human guy in a school full of monsters.

The guys, though, are radically different. Although both guys are fully aware of what is going on around them, Shuffle's Rin is more in control of himself and his situation than Tsukune is.

And, while both are comedic, ecchi romps, Rosario takes the prize. For its "camera angles" the show could just as easily have been called Vampire Pantsu.

angelflame134 angelflame134 says...

These animes are incredibly funny. The girls are cute. They are both perverse. The girls come from different worlds as well. They both have a fantasy side to them.

Rin and Tsukune are the center of these great harems.

NerineLuna NerineLuna says...

Both Rosario to Vampire and Shuffle! have a male protagonist who is liked/loved by several girls, each with their own personality and problems. Both Tsukune (Rosario) and Rin (Shuffle!) want to stay friends with the girls and help them with their problems, without offending any of the other girls around them.

Both Rosario and Shuffle have their fair share of fantasy, magic and comedy.

TomikelT TomikelT says...

In both anime the male protagonist is being chased by non-human girls who want him. The relationships are blunt for both, but its very well done in a comedic tone.

rzulw666 rzulw666 says...

Both series are quite similar. They feature a guy surrounded by some cute girls fighting for his attention. Both involve some fantasy elements (gods and demons in Shuffle!, monsters in R+V). Comedy elements are quite good too.

However, Shuffle! has final and satisfying ending while second season of R+V does not end the series in my opinion.

AksGOTTaAK AksGOTTaAK says...

Both of these are on my top ten list and i would highly recommend either if you like supernatural harem comedies with plenty of ecchi

lolitapanda lolitapanda says...

Both animes deal with a Male character with many potential interests of women. Both have supernatural characters. Theyre very similar.

Clannad

Clannad

Tomoya Okazaki is a third-year high school student who is generally bored with life and doesn't take his studies, future, or anything else seriously. One day, however, he meets a lonely-looking girl in the school courtyard, Nagisa Furukawa. She explains to him the source of her loneliness: she had missed a lot of the previous school year and thus is repeating her third year; everybody that she knew has already graduated, and she is lonely. Tomoya is rather indifferent at first, but decides that he has nothing better to do and spends increasingly more time helping Nagisa restore the school drama club. As his relationship with Nagisa grows, Tomoya begins to open up to various other people around the school as well...

Shuffle! is similar to Clannad in a few ways. One being that there's one guy surrounded by girls and all have their own problems. Tomoya tries to help all he can just like Rin.

MarshallOC9 MarshallOC9 says...

The group dynamics of both Clannad and Shuffle! have similar feelings to them if you like one you will probably like the other

ishmael1991 ishmael1991 says...

The way both animes start off driven mainly by humour and go onto become emotionally charged is very similar. Both main characters help the female cast grow and develop. Clannad is better and deeper especially when you include the afterstory, so if you liked shuffle i reckon youll love Clannad. If you found Clannad too emotional, and didnt like the family elements of the show, want something which focuses more on romance, and like cartoon boob's then shuffles deffiniately for you.

eaper eaper says...

These series are each harems based in high school that do a good job of mixing romance with comedy and a few heavier elements that are usually not used in these genres. If you want a slightly deeper rom-com type series, these fit well.

4EverDreamer 4EverDreamer says...

Both of these shows revolve around a guy and a bunch of girls, in which he must choose one of them. They have comedy, but also drama. There are magical themes, but are very true to life as well. Some of the characters seem alike in both shows too.

Subwolfer Subwolfer says...

Clannad mey be a bit deeper when i comes to the emotional  parts, but both of these touch your heart.  Both are equally comedic and both have a school/harem aspect to them.  If you thought Shuffle! was good you might even like this one more. Or if you thought Clannad was good Shuffle! may be interesting for you.

Logiick Logiick says...

Both have decently strong male leads(as in, they try really hard to help and keep happy all the girls). Shuffle! has more fantasy elements. They both have you tearing up at times, but Clannad will make you cry. If you don't, you're just not a person, sorry.

GreenDarkness98 GreenDarkness98 says...

These two animes are very simular due to how it gets very emotional at parts and tackles tough subjects. The only real difference is one Clannad is alot more emotional and two Shuffle is a bit more magical as has devils and angels. Hoped this helped as both two of my fav animes.

Pokeswap Pokeswap says...

I'm going to start off with the 2 less important points. They are my two favorite anime and both technically harem.

While they are both harem, they are not your typical harem style anime, with a blank slated character hacing girls thrown at him non stop. They both have a specific direction they go in. They also both have a more definite ending than many harems. While shuffle does include other worldly people, it is downplayed in the anime. Both anime are more about the relationships than magic

Similar plot of one guy many girls wanting him. The boy has the hardest time of choosing one of the beautiful ladies. How unfortunenate for him (rolls eyes*).. ^_^... anyways the fans of shuffle! won't be dissapointed with this ecchi/romance/comedy!

Ravenstar Ravenstar says...

Although both are harem anime, Ichigo 100% is almost pure comedic fun while Shuffle! has a more dramatic tone to it. However, the main difference comes in the forms of the two male protagonists - Manaka and Rin. Manaka is a complete idiot who is not even always sure when the girls are trying to get his attention. Rin, on the other hand, knows what is coming his way and diplomatically navigates through it all. The contrast between the two is refreshing.

Hardcoreotaku Hardcoreotaku says...

There both light hearted love storys with epithisis on heart pounding situations(sexual tension). Great anime for anyone whos interested.

wolfangel87 wolfangel87 says...

While Shuffle has a more mature dramatic approach and Ichigo 100@ is purely comedic based both anime series include loads of laughter and fun for the male protagonists conveniently surrounded by girls vying for his attention.

corkboard corkboard says...

Both of these are harem comedies where all the girls know the score but there is very little competition between them (which I think makes it a little dull).  Shuffle has a light supernatural aspect and more nudity.

Kanon (2006)

Kanon (2006)

xephon xephon says...

Now these two anime my seem different at first and at the start they are very different, kanon starts and stays serious while shuffle starts silly and ends really serious. I will say that if you can handle a fox being a girl you should be able to handle girls from other worlds.

Now the reason i would recommend someone watch both series is they both have really strong and will designed male leads that are easy to watch. also once shuffle gets serious at about half way through i believe some of the arc's are as good or better then some of the kanon arc's.

So all i can say is watch both of them you wont be sorry you did.

wolfangel87 wolfangel87 says...

Kanon 2006 and Shuffle each have a fantasy quality associated with them; Kanon involving strange happenings around the school such as transformation and spirits while Shuffle involves aliens from other worlds going to school on Earth. The romantic side of each of the male leads is awkward at times but develops and matures as the series goes on.

HarioSagara HarioSagara says...

Shuffle! and Kanon both appear to be just more harem comedy anime on the surface, with girls that are from fantasy backgrounds, but both anime feature characters that have much deeper, intricate stories that unravel as you watch them. Both anime have surprising twists that send you on an emotional roller coaster ride and really connect you to the characters as they go through their struggles. Shuffle! is a bit more oriented on romance and a group of girls chasing one guy scenario, but they both have decent storylines that have what I felt were rather satisfying endings.

ShieldlessLink ShieldlessLink says...

If you enjoyed this anime and the story it was set under, you would enjoy shuffle as well. Shuffle may have more echhi then Kanon does, but the main characters are similar.

They both try to help each heroine in any way they can. Both anime also keep you on the edge when you are wondering which heroine they would end up with.

While "Shuffle!" 's storyline is a lot more straightforward, they are still similar in harem style.

Both of the anime have a mysterious character said upon in them that has a strange past.

Just like Shuffle School Days is about a young man whose life is undecided by love. Be forewarned that this show is somewhat Ecchi.

Layenna Layenna says...

Both animes have a very indecicive protagonist who is surrounded by girls that love him. Towards the end of both series are where the major differences come in. If you liked one, you'd probably like the other, although Shuffle is definitely on the lighter side.

Bestanimeserie Bestanimeserie says...

Both shows start quite innocent cutsy and happy but get a darker tone as the story progresses, and both turn pretty violent. Though shuffle! is the lighter one of the two if you liked one you'll like the other as well. and they both feature a yandere.

JudeSaint85 JudeSaint85 says...

My recommendation is that if you liked shuffle you WILL NOT like this unless you are into some seriously twisted/douchebag characters.  I also think that they need to add a psychological tag to this.

TheGiftedMonkey TheGiftedMonkey says...

Ah, the troubles of high school life. On the outside both series seem very peaceful and energetic, but slowly they unfold into very well done slice-of-life romances. Shuffle and Myself; Yourself do an excellent job on portraying how each character has their own personal problems and how they deal with them along with the rest of the cast. For those who like slice-of-life and drama mixed in with a bit of comedy and great character developement make sure to watch both of these!

wolfangel87 wolfangel87 says...

There is trouble with high school life in Myself; Yourself and Shuffle; also with the relationship problems the characters face with each other. They both spend a great deal of time portraying the main characters personal problems and how they try and deal with the situations they find themselves in while being slightly comical throughout.

eaper eaper says...

These titles each are romance and comedies set in highschool which explore some of the deeper, more shocking elements of life. If you want something that goes for some more shocking themes that many explore in highschool (or just throughout) while mixing in a lot of lighthearted love and comedy, then these series work well together.

Yasunori Yasunori says...

Major slice of life themed anime in where some may be able to relate to it personally. Such as myself. Highly recommended if you want a nice balance between love and friendship and it makes you think of realistic situations.

Very powerful drama and if you liked Shuffle and want an anime up to the same par then Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien (KGNE) will not dissapoint. KGNE offers the same visual quality as Shuffle and similarly has a boy who must make a choice between girls. The role of health in one of the girls plays a part as too as it also does in Shuffle. Though it doesn't have any fantasy elements or comedy as Shuffle does you will not be dissapointed to follow up shuffle with KGNE.

wolfangel87 wolfangel87 says...

In Kimi ga Nozomu Eien and Shuffle the same dramatic quality is portrayed in each and the main guy has to make a choice between the girls in his life. Kimi ga Nozomu Eien does not have the fantasy elements that Shuffle has, however, there the same power of romance in both.

Antryg Antryg says...

Shuffle! and Kimi ga Nozomu Eien are both centered around the topic love. Shuffle! touches the subject at first from a very comedian side with a harem, but later on it changes to a tragic love story which would never gues by the first half of the anime. On the other hand Kimi ga Nozomu Eien doesn't lose any time and goes directly from the second episode to the dramatic love.

Maburaho and Shuffle! are both romance comedies dealing with a magical element. Both Kazuki and Rin are your relatetively average guys who just happen to have loads of girls with magical powers drop in on them. Maburaho focuses a little more on comedy than Shuffle!, but some parts of the shows almost mirror each other drama-wise.

Both these animes are harems but slightly different.

Rin is a very sweet guy that lives with cute Kaede and he is the envy of all the boys in the school. One day two girls come to the school that are out of this world...litteraly. Both of them want to marry Rin. This show is packed with laughs, panty shots, and some nudity. Sometimes it does get really serious.

Keitaro on the other hand is a loser who can't get into Tokyo U. He's sweet but awkward and a little bit of a perv. He gets to live at an all girls dorm and manage the place. Lucky him! This too is funny but not as much nudity in it. It has more of a plot.

SypherSan SypherSan says...

I would highly reccomend both for eachother. The resoning by this desion is that both anime's are for one, a harem. the difference between the 2 is that one struggles in school while holding up a promise to a girl he cant even remember (love hina); and one guy who struggles to find the girl he truly cares about and loves with all his heart, (shuffle!) other then that, the comedy, and all around awesomeness resideds in both, so if you liek one its definite that you'll like the other =D
