Kawaii girls + guitars = win. That's all I'm gonna say. We have the girl-band, the cute but kinda air-headed guitarist, the shy bassist, the eccentric drummer...

Both shows are around a band and their friendships. While watching Show By Rock!! I couldn't help but always think about K-On!. Both have a group of girls that write their own music and want to perform on stage.

Show By Rock has much more of an over arching plot as well as art that I personally like more. It also has more actiony scenes.

K-On is a slice of life show about an after school light music club.

BanG Dream!

BanG Dream!

When she was a child, Kasumi Toyama felt a heart-pounding thrill every time she gazed at the stars, and she's been looking without success for something that could inspire the same feeling ever since. One day, she comes across a star-shaped guitar in a rundown pawnshop and, for the first time, discovers the thrill she's been searching for. Kasumi becomes determined to form an all-girl band, and her search leads her to four like-minded souls: Saya, Arisa, Rimi, and Tae (all brought to life by the members of Poppin' Party). Does this band have what it takes to make their dreams of stardom come true?

Music anime both centered around cute girls coming together through music. The main bands have similar sounds and some of the main characters are also very similar.

Both animes feature girls brought together by an over the top manager to serve his objective(s).

Both have one main girl who’s the last to join and whose influence is the most prominent in the musical group.

Both feature a different kind of world in Show By Rock!!’s case a girl in pulled through a mysterious force and her physical appearance is altered in more than one way, Zombieland Saga is a world in which zombies exist and are raised for one purpose.

The past of more than one character is also a part of each and their lack of knowledge about people, places, events and other material related to their “newness” in the idol world.

Becoming a well-known idol, getting along with the band members, competing with other groups and fighting are apart of both.

If you watched one the other should appeal.

-Laala and Cyan are normal girls who want to be idols, but they can't, until one day they are taken to a world where they can become idols

-And in these worlds they have legendary abilities

-They both make friends there

-Both face various challenges

-The difference is that in Show By Rock they form a band and have fights and in Pripara they form teams and have no fights

-In both you feel like you're watching a Mahou Shoujo anime, but you're watching a Idol anime

Baka and Test - Summon the Beasts

Baka and Test - Summon the Beasts

Fumizuki Academy is divided into classes ranked based purely on ability; Class A has laptops, reclining seats and ultimate comfort whereas Class F has to settle for a rundown classroom with rotten cushions and rickety coffee tables. Akihisa Yoshii has recently taken the placement exam and finds himself relegated to the lowly Class F along with many of his friends, and they’re far from impressed with their draughty facilities. Luckily, not all is lost as at Fumizuki, classes can declare war on each other to swap rooms by fighting with summoned characters whose strength is based on the users' test scores. As they dream of escaping their decrepit circumstances, the ‘idiotic’ students of Class F will try whatever they can to reach the dizzy heights of Class A’s luxury, even if it means taking on the entire school in an all-out summoning war!

Both anime revolve around the main character who get sent to a special place where they gain unique abilities.  Such as having chibi furry-like forms. Baka and Test is more comedy oriented and not music oriented. But I think fans will still appreciate each other.
