The 3rd season of Show By Rock!! a mostly stand alone endavour with returning characters having little impact on the overarching plot but rather serving as a little nod to seasons past. The story takes place in the same world as the first two seasons but focusses on an entirely new cast of characters. This time all from the actual show by rock world elilminating the unneccesary isekai element of the prior season. It also doesn't have an evil antagonist or anything like that but is a straight up cute girls doing cute things show.  Story The anime is mostly the same as prior seasons otherwise with developing the relationship between band members being the primary focus of the show other than the music. The music is while different from the prior seasons still the focus of the show. Mashumairesh!! the titular band aren't that different from the prior shows main band, that has to be said but in my experrience all the music in this series generally sounds okay if you're into Japanese Music and/or Rock. This show does feel like it has fewer new songs or rather from fewer different bands with only really 3 new bands playing albeit with at least 2 songs each rather than one.  Sound and Animation Animation in in this show continues in the Show By Rock!! style. Background characters and CG character all have the now traditional minimalistic chibi animal look. Parts of the stage preformances continue to look this way as well. However once one can accept those chibi characters the rest of the show actually looks quite deent. The Characters while all reminicent of other characters and having hints of prior characters feel different enough that it doesn't feel like a rehearsal of the prior cast. What little drama there is in the show is all lighthearted in the end and it's really a feel good show of sorts though it's drama is played up so you might have trouble to stomach it if you're really sensitive to such things.  Conclusion Overall it's mostly a fine show with music that's accesable. While nothing springs out to me it may do to others. It can serve as an alternative entry to the series instead of watching the prior seasons as it has little to do with them and I can see this trend continue with Show by Rock!! Stars!! it's potential sequel of sorts.

its not really related with season 1 and 2, but theres shingancrimsonz and cyan. honestly i dont know if i prefer season 1 and 2 or this one, but i think i prefer s1&2 better. This anime is just like any other anime where you have a dream to be in a band or you want to be an idol or something. you start out with no one or youre with your friend and then you make a group..and..you perform .-.  like that. thats literally it. start alone -> you found someone -> make a group -> sing -> become famous. But it does warms my heart on some episodes. im also surprised that this is a pretty normal band anime. theres no drama and all not like season 1 and 2, dont know 'bout season 4 tho...i guess this anime is decent but also...pretty interesting? its a nice anime thats it
