Warning this Review May Contain Spoilers- To put it bluntly......I hated this series so much, so much I can explain most of it. Well to put it simply it is a show about 5 boys who are picked randomly to be idols by some other person who clearly doesn't get enough time on set. The story was all other the place.....really there wasn't any, one minute they were in one place and in the next they are in somewhere completely different. At the beginning of the series it was more of a meh but now it is like avoid at all costs, probably the worst series I have seen as of now. The animation style was just strange, I found it weird....and once again I didn't like it. The sound....well does the fact that these so called idols can't sing. The best music we got out of it was Miss Monochrome's appearence in episode 10. The voice acting was meh, after a while most of the character's voiced just annoyed me T_T The characters themselve were so plain and boring, I can't be bothered to even mention them induvidually (the owl called cat was the best character in personality and most other things). In conclusion if you are following the story maybe in the novel or something, you probably have a better view compared to me but based on the anime itself, it is absoultley horrible and take my advice and avoid it at all costs. Thank you that ends this review ^_^ -AngelBeatsYui- Note: If there are any mistakes in my spelling please tell me, Thank you ^_^
This series was such a disappointment. Let me tell you now, it's not worth your time. First off, they can't even sing. Second off, there is no character development. They have no specific personalities. Theres actually an owl in the series, and he has the most character. And story? Ha. There isnt one. This series is so dry for content that it hurt. They jumped from one random thing to another, and it just wasn't slightly enjoyable. Not to mention how painfully average the animation is, that it just makes this the most boring series I have ever possibly watched. Idk, somebody might enjoy it. Im not even going to touch the second season, I had to force myself to finish this one.
I actually like this anime. I have been watching too many animes from 90's since my chilhood so I'm quite flexible in terms of anime(graphics & genre). I love good graphics but I also check if the story was good even if the graphics are so-so, that's why I don't just drop anime without giving it a chance. I have encountered similar graphics and similar somewhat slice of life genre like samurai flamenco (although I don't know how I manage to finish that) but this story is way much better!! This anime actually have a better substance in terms of plot (although it's not too deep) and there were also background of each character, their struggle and their development as an amateur idol as the story goes. The ending music was good as it's different in every episode. I am aware that this type of anime can be always compared to uta no prince sama and other flashy idol type animes but remember this anime has it's own style as it was a slice of life type of anime with somewhat more realistic feel to the character and story. I'm quite happy that it will get a 2nd season to unfold more plot and show more character development, so I'm recommmending this anime and give it a try ;)
