One day, Yuzuki is enveloped by a mysterious light suddenly emanating from her cell phone and finds herself in an unfamiliar place. The scenery spread out before her almost resembles Sengoku period Japan-- But this is another world known as "Shinga" where non-human creatures such as vampires and werewolves reside. Long ago, the various tribes of Shinga lived together peacefully under the protection of the Himemiko who possessed special blood. However, one day the Himemiko suddenly vanished. With the protection of the Himemiko gone, the world has fallen into a period of strife.

Before I start let's make things clear, if you think you'll find Oda Nobuna no Yabo with a girl MC and male warlords you're wrong and if you're a Feudal Japan anime fan don't be too enthusiast because you'll be REALLY disappointed. So let's start with the review of the MOST AWESOME anime of all time... Sengoku Night Blood... Story The story begins with Yuzuki a young woman who's  sent back in time in Sengoku Period and meets Hideyoshi Toyotomi (in Japan's History he's considered as Japan's second unifier). He seems to like her and tells her "Hey come with me" (literally no kidding)  and obviously she does .-. One episode later we learn he's a Vampire and that Werewolves also exist but wait there isn't just a couple of them, ALL characters are freaking Vampires or Welwoves... I'll stop here for the story so you can watch it without spoilers since you might like shitty animes. I mean what do you expect from an anime based on a mobile game... Voice actors Okay this is gonna be harsh and before I start I'll let you know I love some of these voice actors but they CLEARLY don't match with the characters in this anime... -First the female main character (Yuzuki)... She's voiced by Rie Kugimiya.. For those who don't know who she is, it's the voice actor that is always used for Tsundere characters such as Taiga in Toradora, Louise in Zero no Tsukaima, .. She also happened to be be Happy's voice actor in Fairy Tail. So you might ask yourself "What's the problem with that ?" ... Well basically this girl is the best example of having a depressed Happy / Taiga the whole anime.. She's the type of girl who can't talk normally and it feels like she's DEPRESSED 24/7!! Other characters aren't better such as Hideyoshi Toyotomi who's voice actor is the same as Kaneki Ken in Tokyo Ghoul or Kousei Arima in Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso  Reverse Harem I ain't a Reverse Harem fan and I've barely watched any and wanted to try Sengoku Night Blood... I don't know much of what a great Reverse anime is since I've watched only a couple of them but if that's what it looks like.. I'd rather watch Yaoi SERIOUSLY. It's like vampires running after a chick just because she got "nice blood" what the fuck. Feudal Japan I'll make it short and clear, THIS AIN'T FEUDAL JAPAN. This is just a preposterous world where Werewolves and Vampires try to be samurais from Feudal Japan ...

This is my first review on this website, even though I watch a lot of anime, but I wanted to address how disappointing I found it. I happen to be a person who enjoys reverse harem anime, and when they are done well I can even watch them multiple times. However, in my opinion, the most important element of any storytelling platform is character development. I love to get to know characters, and understanding where a character is coming from really helps me get into the story. This anime had potential, which is why I felt so disapointed while viewing it. Some of my favorite anime will spend the entire series having the characters getting to know each other better through whatever situations their lives throw at them. This anime did not take the time to develop its characters, and as soon as I started to get curious about a character's backstory this anime shifted the entire main group of characters it was focusing on. I personally really enjoy anime with supernatural elements as well as anime set in a fictionalized historical period, so when I realized that both of those elements were in this reverse harem anime I felt excited and wanted to watch it. However I quickly realized that this anime chose to include way too many characters to properly fit into this anime. Perhaps if this anime had taken more time with each army, and utalized an entire season on each, it wouldn't have been such an uninterseting story. All that said I did enjoy the animation and the voice acting. I really do think that had the anime taken more time with each of it's characters it could have been a throughly enjoyable anime.
