The Blue World, a world symbolizing reason, is under attack by fierce creatures known as the Nightfly O’Note sent from the Red World, a world symbolizing instinct. Elected to lead the Blue World, 17-year-old researcher Akira Asagi will take charge of the combat unit “IS”. These six riders, also called the Scared Rider Xechs, will fight at the Ryuukyuu LAG to protect their world and each other.
I have to admit, it took me a while to solidify my feelings on this anime. I wasn't expecting much, but after 3 episodes I couldn't get rid of the feeling of how generic this show is. By episode 3 I "should" be caring about at least 1 character. Not in this case. And the plotline is just as bad. WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD. Episode 1 - A male protaganist has trouble transforming into his battle form. Solves that problem just in time to save himself and the female protagonist. Episode 2 - Female protagonist put in charge of team. Team not happy about it. everything is alright by end of episode. Episode 3 - One of the male protaginists feels conflicted whether or not he fighting, snaps out of it to save the day. Idea of a team building exercise, form a rock band - GAH All in all, think of this a bad version of Pacific Rim. Just without the cool Kaiju, or the Giant Mecha, or the likable characters.
I don't know why this anime gets a lot of hate and people say it generic as it is no way generic. I 100% would tell anyone to stick to it and watch it till the end because you won't regret. I cant wait to re-watch it.
I read the description and I can't say I actually am appeased by the advertisement. I would rather have my time back then to watch it again. It's basically a powerranger's for girls. There's plot inconsistencies, and while the first few minutes kept me entertained the only thing I can take that I really loved about the show was the guitar intro and music.
