Ami has always been the top of her class, but when a rival known only as Mercurius starts to score higher than her on national exams, Ami begins to study obsessively. Adding to the stress, she receives an anonymous love letter! All this attracts a demon that begins feeding off her mind and make Ami a slave to her passion. Ami must find the strength to call forth the Sailor Senshi within and defeat the monster, as well as reveal the identity of Mercurius; but most importantly, could Ami finally have found her first love?

Ami is the smartest of the Sailor Soldiers, but she is no longer alone in her perfect scores. The mysterious Mercurius has appeared, and Ami is determined to do all she can to surpass him. However, she can't help but fall in love with somebody so smart. The question is, who is this mysterious young man?   This special episode wasn't bad. I do like slowing down every now and then and getting to know the Sailor Soldiers a bit better, and this definitely did that for Ami. It also gave Ami a chance to shine, and shows just how strong and passionate she can be. I don't feel as if anything extremely exciting happened, but I enjoyed this all the same.
