Story: The story of Rosario to Vampire Capu2 follows on a year after the first season. The newspaper club members are returning for their second year. What follows is a season which builds on the core characters as well as the progression of Tsukune and Moka's relationship. The story varies which each episode, much like the first season, while having a main arc (the main arc in the first season was more to do with Tsukune attending a high school for monsters and introducing characters, while this season focuses more on those characters as well as Tsukune and Moka). The story in the individual episodes for me was generally good, although certain episodes I feel had a weaker story than others, especially in relation to the main arc.

Animation: The animation is much like the first season, though the characters seem to be a bit more active in their movement and poses. The greatest difference between the two seeasons animation wise is the opening sequence, with the dancing at times proving hypnotic.

Sound: The sound is relatively the same. Sound is rarely bad in anime in my opinion (unless it is a particuraly bad dub, which Rosario to Vampire Capu2 thankfully isn't)

Characters: Putting personal preferences aside for a certain 'cold' character I like, the characters in this are generally good. The main cast from the original are joined by a few newcomers, all of which are good characters that fit into the world. Certain episodes focus more on certain characters, and it is in these episodes that the show really shines for me. The fleshing out of characters and the simple fact that the spotlight is not constantly on Moka (something I didn't really like from the first season) is refreshing and adds a certain endearing quality to the season. The only part that lets this category down is the bits where the series reverts to the formula of simply having all the female Newspaper Club members fight over Tsukune.

Overall: Overall, this series is really good. For fans of the first season, Capu2 simply builds on the foundation, bringing new ideas and new scenarios. For people who weren't too keen on the first season because of the Harem elements, Capu2 DOES keep those elements, but tries to explore the characters more as best it can. A must-watch for Rosario to Vampire fans, a 'save for a rainy day' series for everybody else.

This season feels like a improvement over the first in many ways while dropping a few other aspects. Thankfully the improvements outweigh the drops by far and made this season a lot better in my view. It is still heavily ecchi based so keep that in mind if you are planning to watch.

The artwork feels updated and modern compared to the first season which is what my main dissapointment was. The ecchi has improved thanks to the higher quality artwork, this time around there will be full nudity with proper detail on the female chests compared to the doll format chosen for the first. That may be odd to comment on and be happy about, but for those that enjoy proper artwork or ecchi, it is an important detail to get right.

Next improvement and this one was very important to me, comedy! This season is extremely funny compared to the first, at least for episodes 1-10.

The sacrifices in return is any real aspect of story or romance. There is quite a bit of story depth in episodes 11-13 but before that the episodes are very random and don't link up. Assuming you have watched season 1, this shouldn't be a large surprise or difference since story wasn't its main focus. We do see character development continue on (in more ways than one) along with the addition of one new character, the families of the main group, and the bat gets a lot more involvement this time!

There are quite a few songs sung throughout the season which was quite neat, a bit of a change of pace.

The romance part of the anime has mostly turned into a comedy based romance at best, at least until the last three episodes where it gets pretty deep.

We don't see many monster battles anymore either as we instead change to family feuds which are actually much more entertaining and actually contribute better to the whole relationship development.

Nonetheless, it is only a 13 episode season, choices had to be made and the choices were for the best based on entertainment and enjoyment factors.

The only bad thing about this season really is that it marks where this show ends as there is no season 3. There was plenty of material to work with and could have went on without issues. I enjoyed Rosario to Vampire a lot more overall than I had originally expected.

As many might know Gonzo is known for making a few really good shows; some decent stuff; a bunch of mediocre to bad anime; and Rosario + Vampire Capu2, a show so bad it inspired Miyazaki to state that “anime was a mistake”.

Right from the start you can tell this show must have been some sort of bad, late april fools joke directed to the manga fans because about ¾ of the anime are bad filler. The worst offender is the 8th episode, which is just 22 minutes of bunch of unfunny short sketches.

There’s also next to no progression or character development until the last ¼ of the series which suddenly follows the manga and in a single episode develops the plot and the characters a lot more than in the previous 9 episodes.

Animation-wise is still as good as the first season (AKA it was decent) with its trademark overabundance of panty shots, boob jiggling, and male gaze (Funnily enough some of it was addressed in episode 8 but as expected it all amounted to nothing). There was next to no variation in the character’s design and they remained on model most of the time.

The OST was forgettable to the point I can’t remember any single track of it. The opening and ending were better than the ones in the first season but they still were a bit generic and nothing worth listening more than once. Voice-acting was fine like in the first season.

In short, skip this abomination and go straight to the manga. This dreck is not worth your time.

Disclaimer: Many braincells have been valiantly sacrificed in the watching of this anime

Definitely my favorite romance genre anime, this is also my review for Rosario Vampire 1 & 2.

Rosario Vampire is about a normal boy named Tskune who goes into a school for monsters, meets a beautiful girl called Moka and then meets other girls and they all start fighting over who will be Tskune's girlfriend.

Rosario Vampire is just to good for me to explain in words, all I can tell you is that if you miss out on this you have no idea what you're missing out on.

Moka is the cutest and most beautiful anime girl I've ever seen in my entire life, I hope season 3 will come out one day. Mokamokamoka OMG so beautiful and cute ^^ You definitely can't miss this anime if you like romance anime.

Oh how badly I wish I was Tskune.

Just as vapid as season 1, but it seems like they abandon any pretense of a plot from the very start of episode 1. Which I can deal with; I watch this particular anime purely for laughs, and season 2 provides them in abundance.

***SPOILER ALERT***

Not gonna say much beyond this, but... hearing a "grown-ass woman" launch an attack called 'Breast Missiles of Rage' is the single most epic moment in entertainment history. FTR, I realize this is an anime, made in Japan, a society held to a 'different moral standard' than us 'Murikans. So I just laugh and appreciate the gotdayum show for what it is: exaggerated cartoon T&A with plenty of comic relief peppered in.
