Sincerely thought that this anime had such a great premise.
However it envolved into a roundabout story about the same premise we  know from the very begining.
This story is about a lot of forced drama circles (I've read a synopsis of the LN and it only gets worse) while maintaining the characters in a circle jerk because of the "mysteries"(wich some are pretty much a given) instead of having some character development.
The world in itself is also quite weak where the outside world only matter to the fact of naming kingdoms or appearing at the end( where the mysterious secretive king shows up to be a super supportive buddy)

the characters are all former circus workers who had a flair to fight a demon lord, sincerely the outfits and personas rubbed me in the wrong way. As well as the lack of personality of alost all of them.

animation have a lot o beautifull colours but the CGI is all messed up and the fights have a lot of strange angles.
The sound isn't bad while not being unforgetable.

Overall: I think it had a premise wich could have developed into a nice story but it was overthought and overcutesized at the same when it didn't have the better animation possible.

Rokka is a story about 6 "Braves" who are mystically chosen in order to save the world from the demon country, which has been sealed away to a certain continent. At the time that they are chosen, none of these braves know who else is chosen, and they must all make their own ways to rendezvous with each other and begin their journey. However, something unforeseen happens: The braves become trapped inside a barrier that traps them inside a stretch of forest with a temple, and instead of 6 braves, there seems to be 7! Most of the story is driven by the mystery of who the imposter is, and how the braves became trapped in their situation. Their backgrounds are also briefly explored, though there are very few flashbacks that take place before the events of the anime. The fight scenes have magnificent choreography, and the unique strengths of each character are emphasized wonderfully. For example, the protagonist Adlet Mayer is a resourceful fighter who constantly utilizes his level head and his homemade gadgets to get the upper hand. The animation is amazing as well. Overall, Rokka is an excellent story worth checking out!

Spoilers ahoy!

So going into this anime I had some decent hope for it, the characters looked nicely done and I was digging the premise. Yeah the whole chosen heroes battling the demon king thing is quite cliche, but I didn't get into the typical RPG aspects until later, and by then I was spoiled by 2005 esque game and anime quality so its hard for me to appreciate where the premise originated from.

The premise is simple enough, 6 heroes chosen by the goddess of fate have to go fight the demon king, but there's a 7th hero, so the whole anime (which spans volume 1 of the light novel) is them finding out who the fake is. It's not like they spend the entire time debating who could and couldn't be the 7th hero, it went in that direction when they became trapped and had to kill the one who activated it to get out. That's what its about (the anime) so I'm gonna read the light novels to see what happens later on.

Normally I'd go into the specifics about animation and sound and whatnot, but it wasn't really anything special to me. I did like it all, but I'm more of a story man so anything special can be lost on me, it got the job done so it was all good.

Personal rant: I REALLY like the pacing. You have some anime that draw things out, IE big shounen anime, then you have crappy adaptations that speed things along way too much, like Seirei Tsukai no Blade Dance (I loved the light novel), Grisaia, and Black Bullet. They took their time here, and while they didn't get too far with the story I am very glad that they did. I was drawn into the very simple premise since most try to be original and whatnot. I LOVE the idea of heroes gathering to defeat the demon king and going off on an epic quest. Again they didn't get that far in the anime, but that's fine, it's like an opening for me, so I'm gonna be in it for the long run.

I didn't mind the animation and the sound quality wasn't bad, but the plot was so confusing and didn't take enough time to develope. At the beginning, it had a decent story line and the characters weren't bad but as soon as they got trap everything went to hell. I actually quite like Hans, but Chamot was insane (in a bad way), the princess slowly started to reveal her true colors, and on top of that Maura made everything worse by accusing Adlet and lying to everyone. I'm also quite surprised no one mentioned anything about Rolonia, like what the hell, there back where they started with the question of WHY ARE THERE SEVEN. Then there is an abrupt ending with no further detail. Honestly, I don't have words that could fully describe how confused and frustrated I am with this anime.

"Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers" - A Fantasy Mystery with Potential

Story (7/10): "Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers" introduces a fantasy world on the brink of destruction, where every few centuries, six chosen heroes known as Braves are selected to combat the Demon God. However, when seven individuals claiming to be Braves gather, suspicion and paranoia ensue as they try to identify the imposter among them.

The story sets up a tense and intriguing mystery, with the group isolated in a mysterious temple and forced to rely on their wits and abilities to uncover the traitor. The narrative is filled with twists and turns, keeping viewers engaged and guessing. However, the anime's primary drawback is that it serves as an incomplete adaptation, leaving many questions unanswered and potentially leaving some viewers unsatisfied.

Animation (8/10): The animation in "Rokka" is a standout feature. The character designs are detailed and distinctive, reflecting the diverse backgrounds and personalities of the Braves. The action sequences are well-animated, and the use of magic and special abilities is visually impressive. The lush, vibrant landscapes of the fantasy world are beautifully rendered, creating an immersive setting for the story.

Sound (7/10): The anime's soundtrack effectively enhances the atmosphere, with epic and mystical melodies during intense moments and more subdued music during dialogue-heavy scenes. The voice acting is solid, with each voice actor bringing depth to their respective characters, capturing their emotions and personalities effectively.

Characters (6/10): The characters in "Rokka" are a mixed bag. Adlet Mayer, the self-proclaimed "Strongest Man in the World," serves as the protagonist and is a likable and determined character. However, some of the other Braves receive less development, making it challenging to connect with or invest in their stories. The mystery element often takes precedence over character exploration, which can leave some characters feeling underutilized.

Overall (6/10): "Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers" is a fantasy anime with a promising premise and a captivating mystery at its core. The world-building, animation quality, and suspenseful storytelling make it an engaging watch. However, the fact that the anime does not provide a conclusive ending and leaves many questions unanswered is a significant drawback.

For those interested in exploring the story further, turning to the light novel or manga adaptations is recommended to find resolution. While the anime offers a thrilling introduction to the world of the Braves and their quest to uncover the imposter, it ultimately leaves viewers hanging, which may affect their overall enjoyment.

In conclusion, "Rokka" is a series with potential and intrigue, but it requires additional source material to fully appreciate the story's intricacies and mysteries. If you enjoy fantasy and mystery genres and don't mind seeking out the light novels or manga for a more complete experience, "Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers" is worth a watch.
