In the beginning, I thought it would be more mecha but they really played a background role. It ended up in my view as more of a dystopian romance. I did like how the emphasis was more on the journey and less on the end result of their love. The main characters were well developed and their motivations were clear from the beginning. The only one who had thei motivation saved until the end was Mage. 7.5 As for story, it started slow and never fully explained the trout theory/time rides and how that all worked. The ending was a beautiful happy loving ending and couldn’t have fit the story. 6.5 animation and sound were average for right now which is slightly above average for older anime so 5.5 for both
Intro Remember this, if you ever travel to the past, dont touch anything. One small change can alter space time continue. If there is any anime fanatic that also likes Dark, this anime is perfect for those. I agree with the Overall 8.3 rate of Pokeswap Characters Ange: Unkown being. 2050 Derrida Yvain: main character of the story, investigator of the Dz automata robots programation. Nathan Blistein: Friend of Derrida, father of Mage. He also is investigator like Derrida. Mage Blistein: Secondary character, daughter of Nathan, her role in the story is most important. Yuri Dietrich: friend of Mage Blistein, she likes to take photos all the time. Jaques Yvain: Father of Derrida, one of the first in develop the DZ automata robots. Hans Andrei: Chief of Derrida, he acts as an antagonist. 2055: Angelica Klein: investigator of the DZ automata. 2060 Derrida Yvain: he wakes up after 10 years of cryostasis. Vidaux Volker: he has a lot of combat experience and guns use. He helps Derrida. Mayuka: daugther of Vidaux. She is very cheerfull and helps his father. I like she use a helmet. Graham: A warfare car, with a very smart AI integrated, property of Vidaux. Klaus Baden: a mechanich that repairs Graham. Marlene: an investigator of the DZ automata. Cassiel: Another investigator. Shmit Maier: a governmet agent, one of the antagonist. Donna: a skilled assassin, one of the antagonist. Plot First chapter will set the 2050 events that will lead in Derrida being frozen and he will wake up in 2060. All the main story will spin around the Trout Theory wich considers the posibility to travel to the past and change something. Music and Sound The first music used was classical music. The intro is rock with a male singer. I heard a good piano music at some point. The ending is a female slow melodic vocal song, it was like Last exile ending Over the Sky. I heard good drama tracks. For action combat, I heard electronic tech music. There is a recurrent clocking sound very well used to the plot. Nothing to complain here I think. Animation Very good. Characters design is also very good. Mayoka maybe is very young for this type of plot. Chapter score Chapter 1: World building, and the begining of the conflict. 5/5 Chapter 2: Combat action episode. 5/5 Chapter 3: There was a moment that breaks inmersion a bit but nothing serious. 4.5/5 Chapter 4: a bit of that was to easy, but is ok. 4.5/5 Chapter 5: perfect chapter, a good link between times. 5/5 Chapter 6: Not my favorite start, but the rest is great. 4.5/5 Chapter 7: the worst chapter, a filling chapter, and the dialogues at end are crap. 3/5 Chapter 8: Perfect execution, great cliffhanger part. 5/5 Chapter 9: another part that breaks inmersion, filling parts and dialogues, 1-2 things are usefull 3.5/5 Chapter 10: Very good chapter regarding Donna character. 4.5/5 Chapter 11: Some parts could have better execution, but is all ok nothing serious. 3.8/5 Chapter 12: Perfect ending, all loose strings well tied. I was fearing a huge plot destroy, but is not the case 5/5 Critic I disagree with the cheerfull character of Mayoka, I would have put in her the personality of Chise( Ancient Magus Bride), and that would have been perfect perfect, also to relate it to the ending. Is very easy to screw a time-travel story, this didn`t, I am surprised. The end has a great plot spin that you would not imagine. This is the type of anime where you have to pay a lot of atention to avoid loose information. Donna is the best antagonist, the other two are average. There are mistakes but few, this anime took a lot of risks and yet execution is very good. It really gives you the feeling to know more, to see how things will develop. Rating with 4/5
