The story is beautiful and more romance oriented, something that separates itself from other MMO themed Anime. That said, to enjoy the Anime to the fullest, being an MMO player yourself would be the best as the story is what would be considered "the ultimate dream" for many players. Not being familiar with the concept of meeting and or dating someone online will ruin a lot of the appeal. The other unique bit is that the characters are not your typical 12-19 range, these characters are in late 20's / 30's.

There are some big twists to the story that reveal itself over time. It is hard to talk about the story much without spoiling it, as they are important to the journey. It actually focuses more on the real life aspect over the online world. True to real form, the online aspect is more the connecting medium in helping overcome the anti-social like behavior, making the real life bit possible. In other words, many gamers will feel right at home with how things go, and the creators did a very good job capturing all that, and make it super enjoyable.

There is a lot of comedy, much of it being awkward or teasing. Romance has a pretty strong presence too, in an awkward form as well, which also makes it funny. If you are the type to get emotional, you will probably have many moments just because of beautiful or touching so many scenes are.

As noted above, the characters are different, mostly due to age. The middle-aged aspect is what changes things. It enhances the experience as it is different from the other MMO anime, but also more suitable for the romance component due to the maturity and seriousness levels. I can't say I really liked Morioka too much, they really didn't make her look appealing, but that was intentional and part of the purpose to the story.

Overall, a really beautiful MMO anime, and it definitely is more adult friendly due to the characters ages. Those who haven't spent much time playing MMO's will not enjoy this quite as much as those who have spent years playing them. As someone who has played well over 12 years of MMO's, they really did the romance story concept justice by creating the ultimate dream scenario, and also made it really funny and awkward at the same time.

Bofuri I wanna max out my defence and Love is hard for nerds are two of my favourite animes. Therefore it would go without saying that I'd love a show that basically combined the two. And I do. It's not better than those two, but god damn I loved it. The characters are sweet and the climax is satisfying. The lead up to the discovery of each others secrets was really well done. I think the MMO RPG part was a bit lacking though.

I liked this, it reminded me of my time playing combat games on Second Life, right down to the out of control inventory. Although it looks like it is based more on Warcraft, which I could never really get into. I need to create unique avatars in my games. It is more about the people than the game which is why I enjoyed it.

Spoiler

2 gamers meet in game, each playing the opposit gender character. They get to know each other and really like each other.  When they meed in the real world & one still dose not know the other is their game partner. It was a nice story that made me smile.

Literally one of the cutest couples in anime history. Some gaps in the story, but I still love it.

I enjoyed this anime but the ending was really poor. It looked like a filler episode.
The last episore ruined my good opinion of the anime.
