I liked Season 1 a lot more; Season two is worse in my opinion. The entire season is a prelude to something bigger, which isn't bad except it's a bit drawn out with almost nothing happening. There are so many random fight scenes to show off Xiu Ye's skills, which serves to be visually entertaining, yet amounts to nothing plot-wise. If you are able to watch season 2 with all the combat scenes removed, you would still be caught up with the story. Season 1 told us how OP Xiu Ye is. Season 2 likes to reiterate that constantly with random fights.
Story is Xiu Ye creating and recruiting members for a team named Happy to compete in and win a championship. We've seen most of the members in Season 1 and Season 2 added two more into the group. Overall, the story is fine.
Animation is disappointing. Season 1's animation wasn't good. It was choppy and have a lot of odd camera angles of characters throwing out attacks but you almost never get to see them connect. 3 years later, I figured they would improve but season 2's animation is the same as Season 1. There are so many fight scenes, yet, the animation and production quality are terrible. All the fight scenes have an insane amount of camera cuts and do not appear fluid. It's like a bunch of slideshows with a few animations in each compiled together. Maybe I'm used to Japanese anime standards, but even compared to American cartoon standards, it's terrible.
Music is fine, nothing special.
Characters are boring except for Xiu Ye, who seems to be the most fleshed out character. He is the main character so that makes sense, but all other characters are bland and forgettable thus far. The problem is that the cast is too big and none of them are given enough screen time to develop, nor have they done anything to make me care about them. It's all focused on Xiu Ye.
Overall, i find the second season to be a bit drawn out and boring compared to season 1. Overall enjoyment factor, I rate Season 2 a 3/10.
The artwork alone would make it worth watching. Crisp clean lines with smooth movement, can't ask for much more. The Chinese sub still takes a little to get used to but after s1, 3 extra eps, and the movie ull barely notice. Story continues to progress and multiple more characters r introduced. All in all a well done season
The show is just fine. The ending song is abosulte bliss.
Been listening on repeat for 2 weeks.
The story is fairly slow paced, but it really shows the world of E-sports competition well. The art is nice looking. Fights are really well choreographed. The characters are believable people, which is all that can really be asked of modern anime.
If you enjoy isekai and like competitions, this is probably a good watch for you.
如果有下一季的话那就太好了。我还想知道嘉世到底发了什么事,为什么结果会变成那样子
