Laala Manaka is a 5th-grader at Paprika Academy. Like most girls, she admires the world of PriPara, a sport that tests idol girls on song, dance, and fashion. Unfortunately for her, her school does not allow elementary school students to participate in PriPara. However, through miraculous circumstances, Laala passes the audition to become a PriPara idol.
Pripara has been an awesome anime, and would always be one of my favourites. In fact, I consider it to be my second favourite anime. Let's take a look at some of my views. What I disliked: I disliked the idea of the idolatry. Like, you can like an idol but not to the point of being a member of an idol's fanclub. It really distorts your mind, makes you unable to tell right from wrong and takes interest away from more important activies. Also, the third ending was really bad. What I liked: I liked how it was really meaningful, other than the idolatry aspect. The show promoted friendship, like in episode 8, it talked about two friends arguging but making up later on. There is sportsmanship, like episodes 28, 30, 31 and 35. The plots are a secret, but it made me realise how essential good sportsmanship was. Overall: 9.5/10 This is shorter than my usual reviews, but please, I haven't watched anime in three months and am getting back into the habit of watching anime and reviewing it. However, I originally intended to watch this to heal my mental health after the trauma of my Boku no Hero Academia. Little did I know it would become a personal favourite of mine. Anyway, I am convicing everyone to watch this anime. No music experience required. Just a passion for family-friendly anime.
