Okoya Forest is a Pokémon paradise protected by strict rules that forbid outsiders from setting foot inside. Koko is a boy who was raised by Pokémon and also considers himself as one, treating the Mythical Pokémon Zarude as his father. Ash and Pikachu encounter Koko during an adventure.
If you like the kinds of stories where an infant is raised by animals(in this case Pokemon), you'll love this movie. The reactions Koko had to what seems like everyday things to us were so well thought out. The overarching themes of this movie were also quite well portrayed and I feel like many people, especially parents can relate to it. If I say anything more it'll ruin the movie's magic. I have to admit that it did get quite dark in the second half, more than something a kid would understand. If you want to watch this with a kid though, go ahead. Was this my favorite Pokemon movie? Definitely.
