Honestly I would have loved this show if it was in order. I have not read the manga and typically only enjoy anime. As someone who's unfamiliar with the story, since the episodes were all out of chronological order the story was hard to follow. If it was in order, i may have really enjoyed it and given it a higher rating. If you have not read  the Manga, do not make the same mistake I did now that all episodes have aired. Look up the chronological order online and watch them in that order. The order of release and the order on CrunchyRoll are wrong.

I'm not sure what year it is because the last time a show ended BEFORE IT STARTED, for real I didn't even know it was over until I checked its status on this site . First I'll say if there isn't a second season when your reading this then don't watch it because you watch for the story and cool action right? Well there is no story it's just big boobed girl kill ogre with psycho bunny until like episode 10 and they don't even fight every episode. The fact that it ended so abruptly puts me at a loss becaus the show jumped time periods without telling you (it's obvious but not in good way) and it ended on one of those random jumps. Well I won't do a detailed reveiw just don't watch it's not worth your time

Peach Boy Riverside's story exists as a sort of continuation of the folk hero Momotaro's story. It's a wonderful display of violence that touches on the dangers and hopelessness of prejudice and discrimination. It also aired out of order. I will be reviewing this show based on the chronological order, as viewers now have that option, but first a reason as to why I have decided to take that route.

I understand there is a negative sentiment around the original airing order, but the episodes were titled and numbered. It was no mystery, after the credits rolled on the pseudo episode one it displayed a title for the next episode "Ogres and Humans" with a prominent golden number three, so we were well informed the second episode being released to us, was going to be episode number three. Then after that, we were informed we would be jumping all the way to episode number nine. I took it in stride with patience and enjoyed the show without any difficulty, however unorthodox its release.

The episodes were released in this order: 02, 03, 09, 01, 07, 08, 04, 10, 12, 11, 05, 06. I've read multiple quotes on why this happened, but I recommend ignoring all that, and just watch the episodes in chronological order.

I dont know how streaming sites will catalogue this show, but if it's as aired then the appropriate and labeled episode order would be: 04, 01, 02, 07, 11, 12, 05, 06, 03, 08, 10, 09. As verified by the after credits, You're welcome.

Having made it through the grind, I absolutely enjoyed this show. The story is about a sheltered princess that meets a traveling monster hunter, and becomes inspired to travel the world herself. The perspective switches between the party of the princess, Saltherine Aldarake, and the monster hunter, Mikoto Kibitsu, with the pair crossing paths occasionally. The fable progresses with the princess eagerly seeking to learn more about the world, while the monster hunter is eagerly seeking the death of every Oni. The setting is a fantasy world filled with many different species of sentient beings, and the anime is quick to place a strong emphasis on prejudices between the races, making the diversity of the protagonist parties a wonderful plot device. The story only gets more fun when the viewer is made aware, there might be more to each focused individual, than the show first lets on. The anime doesn't travel very far in its 12 episodes, but it's littered with swordplay, death beams, blood, guts, and gore all raining down on a wonderfully curious set of character relationships. Overall, it was a win.

I didn't notice anything too out of this world with the animation, but it didn't fail me either. Visuals were perfectly acceptable on all counts. The musical score didn't rock my socks off, but it didn't feel out of place. That might make the show sound really average, but for me the real attractions for this anime were the characters and the plotline. I am giving Peach Boy Riverside a solid 7/10.

Disclaimer: I write my reviews to be as spoiler free as can be, with the show having aired out of order, what is and is not a spoiler, feels less certain. Where normally talking about episode one is seen as humble summarizing, episode one aired as episode 4, so am I spoiling episode 4? I don't feel like having a debate about the semantics of episode order, so I regrettably left it, a bit vague. In spite of all that, I do hope it helped you decide whether or not to watch Peach Boy Riverside, I definitely recommend it!

The only reason I'm watching this is for the boy haired boy. The main people arent even worth it, the story is is bland. MC is trying to stop discrimantation when she does it herself.

Ok so for me this anime was quite good there are many cliches here and there but the story was good the characters are fine and the antagonist seems interesting but it is quite hard to understand what is going on as the order of episodes are fucked up well i probably have shitty taste but i liked this anime and i will read the manga when ended.
