Pandora Hearts Specials - Reviews

Pandora Hearts Specials consist in 9 small episodes of three to five minutes bonuses of the DVD releases of the series in Japan.

I will not extend on the series story and atmosphere because I already covered that point in my Pandora Hearts review.

These small animation bonuses add to the humor provided in the series with comical relief. It uses the characters antics ( almost every important character from Oz to Gil, passing by Break and Cheshire to Vincent and Echo are shown in these specials in totally different ways). It uses almost new setting like modern-era school to show the bond between characters. In resume, these little specials are highly entertaining and funny. They do not feel forced and are the perfect examples of what good series specials should be: light and entertaining.

Overall: If you enjoyed the original series, why not? You'll definetely laugh at those characters antics that truly respect the original tone of humor.

Note: Checking my Pandora Hearts manga, I realised something. The author, Mochizuki Jun, inserted nice comical side jokes in her work. This well thought comedy is supposed to be those specials!? A pure strock of genius I say. Bravo.
