A nice comedy, with an overpowered character that becomes the leader of the monsters in a video-game world. Sounds familiar?That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime might look weird, boring or even a copycat, but I felt it was as good as Overlord. The characters are charismatic, the world is lively, the action is solid.

I seriously recommend this anime to anyone, but for fans of fantasy, video-game world, or overpowered protagonists, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is a must.

These are both other world animes, with both having the sense of being powerful. They both have the sense of not knowing what to do, but faking it until you make it, finding out new stuff about their world as they go along.

Shows the nicer sides of Monsters, like goblins. Using the word monster would be almost a insult to the characters in both shows

Key difference Overlord is darker and the MC is an ass, Slime-Sama is much kinder

They both explore a good isekai case where the hero knows what he is doing. I mean, mostly. And this recommendation must be a minimum of 100 characters for some reason.

To be completely honest I wouldn't say their alike in too many ways but I like overlord and I like that time I got reincarnated as a slime

one is about basically teleporting to another world and taking over the world while the other is dying and being reincarnated then building their kingdom and creating peace where monsters and humans can live together peacefully

Both animes have an overpowered cheat like character and manage to do it well. The stories are both great and have fun side characters as well. Overall, I would recommend trying the anime out!

Both transfured into thair Videogame characters bodies on the "shutdown" of the games servers, Both overpowed Af, both Pretty good anime (though the abilities function differently)

Both the anime is about magic and about demons. they both are similar and I strongly recommend this!

WHEN YOU LIKE ISEKAI YOU LIKE ISEKAI, BUT IN THIS CASE THINK OF DEMON LORD RETRY AS A KINDA COMEDIC VERSON OF OVERLORD. BOTH ARE FUN SHOWS TO WATCH. IF YOU HAVE THE TIME ITS A WORTHWHILE WATCH.

Both give the aspect of the "bad guy" being the main charactor,in a fantasy world. very similar. i can not see one being liked and not the other.

Both Overlord III and Demon Lord Retry! has a similar isekai-plot with strong OP MCs. In many ways Ains is very similar to Kunai, using their character as a shield to mask their true self. Though Overlord has a larger fanbase, I have no doubt that Demon Lord Retry! is on a path to be a very strong franchise.

Both feature the whole: I was just going to play an MMO but I ended up inside the game world with no clue how to get home.The fundamental difference between the two being that Overlord has a single person by himself working with created NPCs and Log Horizon is about multiple thousands of players stuck in the world.Both protagonists find themselves trying to make sense and solve the mystery of how it happened while also managing relationships with their immediate group of friends/servants.There is quite a few differences as each show goes on however the basics and foundations start off very simalar.
