I Can't Understand What My Husband is Saying

I Can't Understand What My Husband is Saying

Kaoru is an OL you can find anywhere, serious and works diligently, but her husband is a super otaku and more-or-less a NEET. She is caught up in one of her husband's whims one day or the subject of his concerns another, but the two are so close that it's embarrassing to even watch them!

Both of these anime have very short episodes and are about a 'normal' individual who has to live with an obsessed individual (one is obsessed with their sibling, the other is an otaku). The episodes follow their day to day live as they learn about the other individual and their habits. They are both fairly slow, comedy driven, and have a similar type of humor.

This anime is so cute for me. This is like anime-shorts and I feel like this relationship is so cute, it's just so freaking cute you've gotta watch it. It's not embarrassing to watch as the description says because in my opinion its just pure cuteness! I recommend this because its short and its not the same as onee-chan ga kita but its so freakin cute!!!!!

Boku no Imouto wa "Oosaka Okan"

Boku no Imouto wa "Oosaka Okan"

Of all the residents of Osaka who lead interesting lives just by living normally, by far the most interesting of them all is the "Osaka Momma." A little sister with this sort of "Osaka Momma" personality has just moved to Tokyo to live with her brother after living apart for ten years!

Both of these short-episode anime about about a normal brother who is suddenly forced to live with an unusual sister. Although the type of comedy is different (in Onee-chan, the jokes are about the sister's brother complex, and in Boku no Imouto the jokes are about the sister's unusal Osaka habits), I think fans of one would like the other.

In each of these short series we have a normal guy who suddenly inherits a strange sister, a sister who causes a little bit of trouble for him at that. The comedy in each is slightly different though, with the standard imouto gags being the order of the day in Onee-chan ga Kita, while Oosaka Okan focuses mainly on jokes specific to the Osaka region of Japan.

A sudden sister appearance in both shows with a heavy focus on their interpersonal relationship. Both shows have episodes of short length and are episodic and iyashikei (therapeutic / non-conflict) in nature.

Main differences are the lack of romantic "tension" in Oosaka Okan and a smaller overall cast. More different characters in Onee-chan ga Kita and the focus is less on the place where the sister comes from but her relationship to the brother.
