I find these anime similar, because there's all kinds of monsters in the city. And there's always some kind of hero fighting them.  Both anime's have great art style. One punch man is Overpowered :D but Zetman is really good too. Even though he's not as strong and can't kill with one punch only, but  both main heroes fight for a good reason. Saitama - a hero for funZetman - a hero for justice.

Something about the lives of super heroes from a more ordinary lense has happened in anime, movies and and TV over the last 10-15 years.

These two both take it somewhere else entirely. They are both laugh out loud funny and completely surreal at times. The both offer the unexpected while somehow still being about the day to day life of the super hero.

When I started watching One Punch Man, I just got this Bobobo vibe from it. Both of the hero characters are weird, and very powerful. The enemies in both shows are beyond strange, and they're both parody anime.

Looking for an overpowered main character who finishes all and any of his problems with punching bad guys in the face? Look no further! Both these shows feature a somewhat similar narrative even if One-Punch Man is set in a somewhat more contemporary setting, whereas Tairiki Taro no Mucha Shugyo has a mythical setting.

A turn-off could be the show's length (2mins compared to 12 full lengths eps) and date of publication of the shows (1928 vs 2015). If you're a sucker for the old stuff, you might not like the modern and polished look of One-Punch Man. Similarly, if you only watch the newer stuff, this older show might not appeal to you much. Production values are probably somewhat lower too.

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann

However, upon breaking out onto the surface world, Simon, Kamina, and Yoko encounter enemies more powerful than they could have envisioned. Both anime have cool battle visuals, explosions, cool attacks and a good portion of wit. One punch man doesn't have mechas and drills, but both have a fun hero story you want to keep watching.

GANTZ

GANTZ

Much to the annoyance of Kei, he and his childhood friend Kato have died, having been torn apart by a train. But rather than finding themselves at the gates of heaven, the duo materialize in a room full of strangers and a giant black sphere known as GANTZ. As if dying once wasn’t bad enough, the occupants of the room are then forced to embark on dangerous missions to kill strange aliens; missions that very few return from. Now, Kei, Kato, and a well-endowed friend must fight for their freedom with an arsenal of guns, high powered suits, and a very low chance of survival.

FunkyTime FunkyTime says...

Both series are action heavy and feature intense, over the top fights against often surreal looking enemies. Contrary to One-Punch Man, Gantz is played serious and is a lot more violent however. People who enjoyed the fight scenes of One-Punch Man more than they did its humour might find more of what they're looking for in Gantz.

Both have OP protagonists that can beat any foe with a simple punch but Dragon Ball doesn't make a complete joke of itself by doing so.

Both of these are great if you love stories about extremely overpowered protagonists, although Inuyashiki is far more serious and clearly made for an adult audience.
